**Snow's POV**

I excused myself from my boyfriend, telling him I needed to go to the restroom to fix my makeup. He nodded without hesitation, his warm smile reassuring me. As I walked away, I could still feel the comfort of his presence, easing the tightness in my chest. The nerves that had been creeping up on me all night slowly started to fade Marcus had that effect on me. He made everything feel lighter and easier. I let out a quiet breath as I pushed open the restroom door, already feeling more composed.

Standing in front of the mirror, I studied my reflection. My hazel brown eyes, still holding a trace of nervousness, met my gaze. My lips, slightly parted, trembled faintly. I shook my head and straightened my posture, pushing away the lingering unease. A small, genuine smile tugged at my lips before I reached into my purse and pulled out my lipstick, ready to apply it. But just as I lifted it to my lips, I froze. A presence. A shift in the situation.

I looked around again. It was eerily quiet as if the entire island had been swallowed by silence. Only the sound of my deep breathing, the rustling wind, and the distant calls of birds could be heard. I hugged myself, trying to brush away the cold wind brushing against my skin. Marcus was no longer in sight. He had completely vanished into the woods, and now, something felt wrong. I looked up at the sky. The clouds were dark and heavy, threatening to pour. It was best to head back to the rest house before the rain started. As soon as I stepped inside, the rain came crashing down on the roof. The scent of wet earth mixed with the air. Thunder rumbled, followed by the sharp crack of lightning. I tried to calm myself. It’s just for a while, I told myself, and I hoped Marcus would return soon. More than an hour passed while I waited for him. I didn’t even realize I had fallen asleep on the sofa. I jolted awake when I noticed the rain had stopped. My eyes darted to the window but Marc

"I adore you, Snow. I love you so much," he whispered, his voice full of pleading and love. I could only sniff quietly. I couldn’t bring myself to respond to the sweet words he just said. He gently touched my cheek, and in the next moment, I felt his warm lips on mine… careful, full of emotion. It wasn’t a demanding kiss. It wasn’t asking for anything. It was a kiss that simply wanted to be felt, a kiss that spoke of love and devotion, even after all the times I’d pushed him away. But this is wrong. So, fúcking wrong. I pushed him away firmly. "No. We can’t do this, Marcus," I said, my voice quiet but firm, just before I stood up. I left him at the table, trying to calm the heaviness in my chest. I walked to the sink, splashed cold water on my face, and tried to erase the heat of his kiss from my lips, the warmth of a feeling I wasn’t supposed to let back in. But then I felt his arms wrap around me from behind. His embrace was firm but gentle like he was trying to calm me down

LUNCH… “Eat,” Marcus said softly. A spread of delicious food was laid out in front of me. He cooked my favorites. Marcus had clearly gone to the trouble of preparing them all, hoping I’d eat. But I just sat there, frozen, staring blankly at the table. I had no appetite. I didn’t want food. I wanted to go home. I wanted to leave this place. I watched as he scooped up a spoonful of food and held it out to me. “Ahh…” he murmured, waiting for me to open my mouth. I swatted his hand away, the food spilling onto the floor. “Snow, you have to eat. You’ve been unconscious for two days. Look at yourself… you’re getting weaker.” I swallowed hard, eyes brimming with tears. “Take me home, Marcus. I can’t live here… not on this island,” I said lifelessly. The same plea I’d repeated like a broken record. I just wanted to go back to the mainland. We were on an island. Remote. Isolated. I had no idea where exactly. From what I saw, no one else lived here. There were no other houses or signs

**Snow** Marcus exhaled slowly before letting out a deep sigh. “I’m glad you’re awake,” he said suddenly, clearly trying to change the subject. “That’s really what you want to say, Marcus?” I snapped. “Where are we? Where did you take me?” I asked, my voice serious and demanding. He didn’t answer right away. His gaze drifted into the distance as if searching for the right words, before finally turning back to me. “I can’t tell you where we are. Just know… we’re far. Far away from your husband,” he said as he took a step closer. I immediately stepped back and raised a hand between us in warning, but he didn’t stop. In a heartbeat, he pulled me into his arms. “Marcus, why did you do this?!” My voice trembled. “You’ve put both of us in danger! When Demetri finds out—he’ll kill you. He’ll kill both of us!” I pushed against his chest, struggling to break free, but his arms only tightened around me. I knew Demetri wasn’t bluffing. He’d made threats before, and the last time he warn

**Third Person** "Are you not going to stop until he kills you?" Feurene asked Marcus, her voice laced with frustration and bitter disappointment. Marcus froze for a moment before turning to glare at her. His face was tense, jaw clenched tight like he was holding back words he was dying to let loose. “Marcus, please... I’m begging you, enough,” Feurene pleaded again, her voice nearly cracking from desperation. She already knew he wouldn’t listen. She knew he would never back down. But even if she had accepted that truth a long time ago, she still couldn’t stop herself from trying. “I won’t survive if I lose you. Please, stop. You can’t win against Demetri. No matter what you do, he’ll destroy you.” She knew her words were harsh, but what choice did she have? It would hurt far more to watch Marcus be destroyed by a battle he was never meant to win. Marcus looked off into the distance, silent, but the weight on his face was impossible to ignore. Once more, he clenched his fists,

**Snow** “How was the shoot? Did you finish a lot of scenes today? And why are you back at the resort so early?” Demetri fired off his questions one after another as soon as we entered the exclusive room. I ignored him. I went straight to the couch and began taking off my stockings. “Let me help you,” he offered, kneeling in front of me. I stared at him as he gently slid the stockings down my legs. But the irritation bubbling inside me wouldn’t go away. He had the audacity to enjoy himself with that woman. I was pissed. Still fuming over their flirtatious little scene inside the elevator. I bit my lower lip in frustration. “All done,” he said, looking into my eyes. My gaze shifted to the lipstick stain on his cheek. “You seem to be having fun with someone else whenever I’m at work. Why don’t you let me have some fun outside too?” I said sarcastically. “I want to flirt with someone else too,” I added. “No,” he replied instantly, shaking his head. Really? So he gets to
