Kyla pov

I decided to pay a visit to my best friend. We both agreed to meet at the bar where she works at night.

“Babes, you do not look good at all, why are your eyes swollen?” Sally asked me.

“Sally, I have a feeling Justin is really seeing another woman.” I confess to her being unable to hold back my tears. I have been crying all day Sally, I don't know how to handle the situation.

“You know that's impossible right?”

“It is, I went through his messages.”

“What?” Sally said a little on top of her voice.

Justin and I used to be envied in school. We were this famous couple that no one could come in between. Maybe he has finally grown tired of loving one woman in so many years.

Sally was furious because she's been there all through, she knows the sacrifices that I made just so that this marriage could be where it is today.

“Why would he even think of doing such a thing to you?”

“You never know, maybe he's tired. I mean it's been years already.”

“Don't you dare say that, you sacrificed a lot for this relationship so it's not going to end like that. Tell me what's her name?”

“Ella Brey, I don't know who she is but…”

“Wait a minute.. are you talking of the same Ella Brey?”

“Is she someone I'm supposed to know?” I asked Sally curiously because she seemed to know who this Ella Brey is.

“Everyone, especially in the gallery knows who she is. She's married to Zach Fleming.”

“Seriously?” Zach Fleming is a son of the flaming family, they are one of the richest in the country.

“So what the hell is she doing with my husband?”

“I am as surprised as you are, no offense but your husband is nowhere close to Zach's status.” I was in deep thoughts still trying to understand the reason why she is with my husband in the first place when she has someone like Zach by her side.

“Work calls, you know I'm actually thinking of quitting this bar job and just focused on my morning shift at the company.” I was still thinking about what she just told me so I couldn't even respond to what she was talking about.

“Kyla, I know this isn't easy for you, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't know how to handle such a situation as well, so I want you to calm down and not do anything stupid.”

“Sally, you don't understand how I feel, he betrayed me, he broke the trust in our relationship. Do you even have an idea of how that hurts?”

“Kyla, you're drinking too much already, let me help you get a cab, so I can go back to my work.” I don't even want to look at his face right now so going home it's not what I want.

“I'm fine, I'm just going to finish this bottle and go home.”

“Are you sure?” I forced a smile immediately and nodded my head.

Sally went ahead to start her work while I continued to drink, when the bottle finished I remembered the promise I made to Sally but I couldn't keep it because I needed more drinks. Maybe after drinking I would be able to feel better.

I requested another bottle, and after that I still requested another one until I was completely wasted but the only thing is no matter how much I drink I still could not forget the hurt, I thought drinking would help me out of my misery but in reality I only got drunk but I could still remember everything.

I picked up my phone and started sending messages to Justin. After sending so many messages to him, the only message that made sense was when I asked when he would be back home. I was patiently waiting to get a reply from him, this made me remember how he would immediately reply to my messages in the past, but this time even after so many messages I did not get any response so I continued drinking.

When I was almost done with the last bottle my phone lit up with a message, I expected the message to be from him but the moment I opened my phone I noticed the message was from Sally instead.

“I just saw Zach Fleming! He just walked into the VIP room, he's so handsome. I wish you were still here I would have…”

Sally stopped sending the message when our eyes met, she probably thought I had already gone home. I gulped the last drink left in the cup and was about getting up from my seat to go meet Zach before Sally came to stop me.

“What are you still doing here Kyla? You… oh my goodness I can't believe you drank all this.” Sally looked at my table in disbelief. I am not usually such a heavy drinker but this time I had so much to drink.

“Take me to Zach, I want to have a conversation with him.”

“What? You don't mean it right?”

“I mean everything that comes out of my mouth, please take me to him, I have something important to tell him.” I requested. Sally looked confused as she was hesitating to take me there because of my present state.

“You are not in your right mind right now Kyla, you can't go to him. Do you even know who you're trying to meet with? That is Zach Fleming.”

“His wife is sleeping with my husband!” I yelled at the top of my voice causing the attention of everyone to be on both of us. Sally couldn't stop me anymore so I found my way to the VIP room but when I was about to go in the bouncer stopped me.

“I have to speak with Zach, let me in.” I told the bouncer at the door.

I know that Ella and Justin are the total opposite when it comes to social status so I'm very sure Ella isn't serious with him. She just wants to destroy our marriage. I need to save my marriage at all cost so speaking to Zach might help.

I was staggering because I already had too much to drink.

“Ma'am, please leave, you're a constituting nuisance here.” I raised my head to look at the bouncer and at this moment I knew that I had to do something stupid before I could get in.

“I have something to say about his wife and my husband!” I yelled at the top of my voice hoping Zach would hear me

Kayla's pov“There's no way I'm expecting a baby now.” I said a little above a whisper. For so many years I was happily married to him I never got pregnant and now that I plan on ending things with him, this? I can't accept the result, there has to be a mistake.I gently touched my flat stomach, already beginning to love this little life that wasn’t even born yet. The doctor had told me that the numbers were still unstable and that I needed to take extra care during the early stages of the pregnancy.“For the baby’s sake, can you forgive me this time, Kyla?” Justin asked. I turned to look at him angrily without replying to him.I was raised by a single mother, and though I had the confidence to give my child all the love it needed, I still remembered asking my mother for a father when I was young. I don't want my child to go through the same childhood I went through, it was difficult growing up without a dad.“Justin, please excuse us.” Lucy said to him while holding my hand lovingly

Ella's povI woke up really tired from last night fun with Justin. He sure knows how to make me feel good. I flinged my shoes off my leg and fell tiredly on the couch.“Ms. Ella, Mr. Fleming has scheduled a meeting with you at 8 PM at the XX villa,” Zach’s secretary messaged her. I opened my eyes wider than normal when I realized the message only interpreted that Zach is back, and he's even in the house. Zach’s back? When I got married, I believed I would finally become Zach’s wife, enjoying his love and wealth. But in reality, Zach had only pretended to go along with his father’s wishes. He only saw me as a mere decoration. His marriage to me was like a contract to him. We've been married for three years but we've never lived like a real married couples. Zach has never had any meal with me, he only shows up when we're having a family dinner.I learned about Zach’s schedule from others, and if we were to meet, it was always arranged by his secretary. I hate this cold man. No matter

Kayla's povEven though I had spoken those explosive words the bodyguards remained unfazed, they were waiting for instructions from their boss. “Let her in.” I heard a deep voice echo from the room—magnetic, without any discernible emotion. At the center of the room sat Zach, his imposing presence filling the space. Despite the weariness in his eyes, his gaze alone brought a sense of pressure. A few glamorous women were seated beside him, casually sipping drinks.I was momentarily taken aback by his gaze, but quickly regained my composure. Reality hit me when I realized how stupid I was thinking talking to her husband would change anything. I realized that I may just be overreacting over nothing. Maybe they were just having a harmless conversation as friends so it might be better I speak to Justin first before jumping into conclusions. The private room was vast and lavish, I couldn't help but feel the stark contrast in our social standings. Perhaps couples like them—rich and powerf

Kyla pov“How was your day?” I asked Justin excited as I laid on the bed resting my head on his chest as usual.“I'm going to eat at the restaurant today: the Salmon there is delicious,” We always share details of our day before going to bed. But this time I did not understand what he's talking about because Justin doesn't even eat all this. I raised my head from his chest and turned to look at his face with my face squeezed.“When did you start eating these things?” I found it really odd because Justin has disliked raw food since our college days. He looked quite surprised when he heard the question I asked, my suspicions were wild seeing the look on his face. “I met a partner who introduced me to it.” The issue of eating raw foods wasn't that serious but I noticed that he's been adopting some new habits which are totally unlike him, he's changed his perfume, he's now eating raw foods and he doesn't even get intimate with me anymore. I am beginning to feel distance from him which
