ASHTON

THE PROPERTY OF THE ALPHA PRINCE

CHAPTER 3: ASHTON

Why ask me? After all, I am the town’s eccentric woman, who listens to one anyways… Oh Danna… you are mad as well. Am off to paradise land, see you never. Ashton said cackling as she walked leaving, Dandara, mouth wide open in shock and disbelief.

Did she just? what the hell just happened? Dandara thought as she stood still, in her tracks. One of the soldiers pushed her from behind, making her to fall.

Stop, hindering the flow, get up and walk. The soldier said pointing his sword at her.

Dandara, cursed underneath her breath, as she stood up, with her chains, as she was tugged violently, by the guards, as she winced, and bit her lips, so hard that it drew blood. She kept on, walking to avoid being pulled at, again. They were being led out of the city, to an unknown destination. And what is worse, they had no water, or food, and the soliders didn’t even bother about them. But she couldn’t let this distract her, from her objective. She needed to know, what Ashton, was talking about. She needed information, and although Ashton, was eccentric, probably mad, she was the only one, who had information, that the rest were clueless about. All she wanted was an audience, and an audience she was going to get.

She scanned the crowd, looking for any sign of Ashton, and saw her cackling to herself in front, as all the slaves/ captives shifted away from her, giving her space for her to perform her rants and laughs in peace. They didn’t want anything to do with her, but she did.

Walking faster, towards Ashton, she was pulled back by Manda, who glared at her and said,

What do you think you are doing? Where the hell are you off to, in such a hurry?

I have to speak to Ashton, it is very important, that I do so. I have to discuss something important, with her. Dandara said, as Manda shook her head.

I thought as much, I needed to confirm it first from the horse’s mouth. It is okay, you can go. Manda said as Dandard wanted to leave, when she was tugged back, harshly by Manda, as she fell to the ground, wincing in pains.

Are you out of your fucking mind? She yelled, before realizing that they were soliders, she quickly whispered, are you out of your fucking mind?

No, I am not. Dandara replied as she stood up from the ground.

Well, you have, a nut has been loose from your head. You just say that you are going to see ASHTON! Out of all, deranged, and mad people, you could think of, you want to go the boss, cant you see that everyone is shying away from her. Look, at the big gap, that they had given her, and you want to go there, and talk to her, do you want to be ostracized from the rest of the group. Manda said pulling at her ears.

Ouch, Manda, let go, it hurts. Dandara said, as Manda let her ears go. Dandara rubbed her ears to cease the pain, as she frowned and said,

Are you worried about that right now. We are currently facing exile, at the moment. We do not know where they are taking us, do we? All of us are slaves, and prisoners, and all of us, even you don’t have a freaking clue of what is going on. You can’t even speculate on what could be possibly happening. And now, that I know someone, who can help me answer my questions, I should ignore her, because what, she is a little loose in the head? This isn’t Southern Isles anymore; this is… I don’t even know anymore. We are stuck on a very land expanse of sand, and deserts, with no clue of what to expect, so forgive me, if I am currently being chatty with the mad ones. I need information, so that we can start to think of a space plan, or at the very least, know what we should be expecting. If you don’t want to follow me, to talk to Ashton, you can stay here, in your chains, and what not, hoping that this is all but a bad dream, but me, I am making the best out of a worse situation. Dandara said as she left Manda, and walked towards Ashton, accosting her.

The rest of the captured citizens of Northern Isles, started murmuring, when they saw, what was going on, but soon kept quiet when the soldiers stopped and looked back, scanning to see what had caused an uproar.

Dandara held her breath, as the soldiers walked past them, frowning his face. Meanwhile Ashton, didn’t bother about anything, as she kept on cackling and clapping her hands together in glee, as if she was watching something that only she, founded funny.

The solider paused in front of them, staring at Ashton, who kept laughing and clapping her fingers, before glancing at Dandara, his eyes asking her, what the hell is wrong with her friend.

Dandara raised one of her fingers, to her head, and moved it in a circular motion, as the solider nodded his head, and walked back to the rest of the soldiers, who stood, waiting in front.

Well? What was the cause of the problem? Who was that woman cackling? Has she been put down already? Where is her body? The general, in charge of the battalion replied,

Well, sir. I found out during the search, that it was a mad woman, who was busy laughing to herself, and cackling to herself too. I mean, it was very weird, you have to see this from yourself. Her gaze looked focused, in front, just staring at nothing in particular. She laughed and cackles…really laughed and cackled as if she was watching someone do something stupid. It is not normal. And also, the people, her fellow citizens, are also clearing the space for her to do whatever, she wants, as long as they don’t care whatever another person is going to see.
