CHAPTER 43: FROM GRACE TO GRASS

After Michelle, had been successfully taken away, and they were back in the palace, Prince Michael had asked that the guards leave Dan and him alone in the cabinet and go fetch the slave princess from the mines and dropped her in his room. He would deal with her, but first he wanted to deal with Dan.

Dan fell on his knees, his head bowed to the ground as he waited for the punishment form his prince. Was it going to be mere whipping, or death. He knew death wasn’t out of the question, one who turned his back on the ruler was already a tyrant and the punishment was banishment or death.

Prince Michael went back and sat down on his father’s throne, and stared down at Dan. So many emotions rushed through him, that he wasn’t sure what he felt most, anger or disappointment.

He paused, he couldn’t afford to talk harshly, his father once drilled in his ears, never to make a decision while he was angry, because he would live to regret it. This was his best friend
