Chapter Twenty Nine

Jared’s POV

My phone on the night stand began to buzz constantly. It pulled me out of my slumber. I fumbled for it my fingers finally making contact I looked at the screen squinting. They were messages from the main surrounding clans. They agreed to meet. Some even disclosed they had seen weird beings in red robes lurking about their territories, eyeing their pure members. Even sightings of Diego were being sent. I closed my eyes and exhaled then I peered over at Storm she was still fast asleep I gently stroked her hair for a moment. Then ventured out of bed as I heard the boys starting to coo as they were awake and screaming “dada” over and over in unison. Storm began to stir. She rolled over sleepy.

“Where are you going?” She whispered.

I smiled at her. “The boys.”

She listened for a minute and shook her head at their dada mantra. “I’ll be there in just a second.”
