I’m not sure when I drifted off, but I woke up intertwined between Ramses and Rowen. A flood of memories raced back into my mind from last night, which caused me to silently scold myself for my inhibitions.

I planned to tell Ramses first thing, once he was back. I contemplated getting his permission and just having my way with Rowen, but I didn’t actually think I would be able to go through with it. My undying loyalty was sickening at best, and I knew this. But that’s just who I was.

I looked over at Rowen and he was still asleep. I turned over and just stared at my ceiling for a moment contemplating the events that were to take place today. The ritual to open the portal required six Human sacrifices...

We would be murdering six innocent people today… And in doing so, spilling a lot of innocent blood. These sacrifices would not revive either. It was heavy, but necessary… I didn’t care if it took 100 innocent sacrifices... I was getting Ramses back.
