Chapter 9

Annabel’s Pov.

"Why do you have to be the one to do it when he has two grown brothers in this same school huh? And besides, he's in college not in high school so why the fuck did he come back." She blurted with a huff.

My head turned around really fast to stare at her in shock immediately I heard the "F" word leave her mouth. "Jamie, language! And nothing matters because, at the end of the day, I am still the maid, remember?"

"Fine! But I am coming with you."

"No, you'll get an extra detention time which might get you in trouble at home."

"I don't care, and it's not going to get me into any trouble so stop worrying and let's go!" She said dragging my hand along as she walked briskly to the school's clinic.

With fast strides and some mid-runs, we finally got to the clinic. Breathless and sweating we both reached out to pull the clinic door open but it opened from the inside, bringing out the stoic audacious man I met earlier on the basketball court.

"You!"

"Yes, me." He answered
