Chapter 9

Freya paced back and forth in the compound of the new pack where had managed to find shelter for the meantime.

She wasn't sure if the letter reached Simon or not. The thought of the letter getting into Alan's hands, made her quiver.

She had pleaded with some of Alpha Rowland's servants to deliver the letter to Simon. She had made sure Rowland was not aware of it, and she was yet to see them to confirm if Simon received the letter or not.

Her palms had become sweaty from anxiousness.

A cold tap on her shoulder jerked her from her thoughts. She veered around swiftly to see where the tap came from.

"You're here."

It was Alpha Rowland.

"I've looked for you all over the pack. I didn't know you would be here," he said.

Freya smiled. She bowed slightly in response to his words.

"Are you okay? You looked bothered," Rowland inquired.

"I'm okay. I just needed some fresh air, so I stepped out to this place," Freya replied.

"Okay. If you say so."

He began to walk away but stopped in his tracks
