Selene's POV

The music picked up again after Victor was gone. Someone called for dancing, and laughter filled the air. Omegas were clapping, spinning in circles, while the betas snapped their fingers along to the beat. The lights above sparkled like stars, and it looked like the party had never been interrupted.

But I couldn’t fully enjoy it because I was still stuck on that moment. The way Victor looked at me before he left.

His eyes weren’t soft. They were intense. Focused. Not angry, not cold… but something else. It felt like he had made a decision. And for some reason… it made my chest feel tight.
