One Crazy Evening

Jalefel stayed behind in the private room for a few extra minutes. The thundering of his heart conflicted with his stony exterior. His mind went adrift. Thoughts of why he felt out of sorts when he saw her. Why he wanted to do what ever it takes to protect her. Her image floated back into his mind. She was beautiful to him. Her features appeared exotic, but he knew they weren’t. Those features were enhanced by the many serums forced upon her. His heart raced at the prospect of eating alone with her. Watching her face delight from wonderful food. The way her eyes would focus only on him during their meal. Finally, he headed out of the library. A robrarian stopped him. “Excuse me, sir? Will you be checking any of these books out?”

He tilted his head at her in confusion. He had reserved no books. The robrarian expected his question and spoke once more. “Your friend with the tail thought you would need these.” She showed him the different titles. The Lust Chronicles, I Am What I Am Accept
