Aurora
“Come back to me…” I remembered hearing Darius voice vaguely as I gently opened my eyes. I woke up on a king size bed with the initials “D” beautifully crafted at the head-space. I looked around to see the interior decor of the Alpha Darius' bedroom. It had a minimalistic setting but still kept an extingusihed aura. It was filled with imported furnitures and expensive artworks. It also had sculptured statures that aligned with the huge mahogany table at the corner of the room. “This is the first time I’m seeing the inside of the alpha’s room.” I mumbled to myself. Before I could nourish my sight with its’ beauty, I felt a sharp pain. “Ouch!” I grimaced as I felt a thunderous headache like a large drum beating in my brain. Suddenly, Raven rushed in quickly. “What’s wrong Aurora?” She asked in a concerned voice. She had a worried facial expression like she genuinely cared for me. It was different than the usual condescending almost disdain look that I was accustomed with her. She actually looked quite disturbed on my ordeal. I gradually snapped out of my daze. “I’m fine..Raven.I just had a mild headache.” I nervously replied. I wasn’t sure of her response if I told her its severity. I clenched my fists to endure the pain, but it seemed to only prolong my suffering. Luckily, Raven sensed my pain and rushed out of the room. “Get the healer, she’s awake!” She snapped. I could hear footsteps moving quickly to a distance. Raven returned back to the room with a forced smile on her face. “The healer will be here shortly, the Alpha ordered me to make sure you’re taken cared of. The healer is the best in the kingdom.” Raven tried to comfort me with a soft voice. Her demeanor softened as the healer was announced outside the door. “The healer is here!” said one of the she-wolves guarding the door. Raven opened the doors and an elder lady in her sixties entered. She wore a plain black gown which spiritual ornaments around her neck. She had some facial tattoo on her face with the symbol of wolf on it.\ My heart beat paced as she approached me, A wave of anxiety washed over me as she waved some flames while chanting some inaudible incantations. She also had a cup with an unknown drink in her hands. Surprisingly, she curved her lips slightly like she could read my facial expression. She slowly sat down close to me and stretched out the cup to me. “Don’t worry child, it’s an old recipe used to treat headaches, you will feel better immediately you drink it.” I stared at her one more time and glanced at Raven. She nodded in agreement and gestured I trust her. I took a deep sigh and gulped a large portion of the drink. It tasted like berries mixed with other ingredients. Immediately, the headache varnished and I felt rejuvenated like all my energy flowing through me at once. My eyes flickered with excitement as I caught the gaze of the healer. She had a grin on her face like confirmation of what she told me. “Thank you healer.” I gently returned back the cup to her after taking the last drop. She had a cheeky smile as she nodded in approval. She stood up slowly from the bed glancing at Raven. “She needs to rest for some few days, but she will recover very quickly. She has a strong aura.” The healer said to Raven, her eyes widened in shock as she heard those wordings. She quickly escorted the healer out and returned minutes back. “I’m truly sorry for failing you Aurora, the Alpha gave the task to protect you from any harm and I failed. Pls forgive me.” Raven said with a pitiful voice. She knelt down on one knee in respect to me. I froze for some seconds, but I snapped back quickly. “It’s not your fault Raven, I was reckless and stepped out of the palace without informing anyone. I’m the one to apologize-” I weakly tried to get out of the bed. However,Raven quickly rushed to my side. “Pls don’t-” Raven held me back and laid me down. “I promise not to let the alpha down ever again. You as well.” Her eyes became darkened as she stood upright. Her face became serious and formal. “That’s the Raven I knew.” I mumbled to myself quietly. I slightly nodded in agreement and tilted my head to rest on the soft pillow behind me. “Where’s Dar..Alpha Darius?” I asked in a calm voice. Raven had a mischeivous smile as she gazed at me. “He went out to find out who tried to hurt you. He was the one who found you. He also brought you into his room and never left your side. It was only this morning shortly before you woke up that he went out to chase some updates gotten on your attackers. I have never seen him so worried on anyone else before.” My cheeks turned pink blushing, Before I passed out, I saw the way he went after the burly men, like a wild beast. It was obvious from the sudden change in attitude from Raven and the tender care from the healer, I was someone who mattered to him and was important. “I’m sure his just doing it since I’m his breeder.” I thought to myself. From my past, I learnt not to have any high expectations, especially from alphas. His cold demeanor towards me only cemented my notions. Yet, a part of me kept a glimmer of hope that Darius truly cared for me. Raven could tell I was lost in thoughts so she abruptly stood up. “You need to get some rest so you can heal. I’ll be right outside till our alpha returns.” Raven said in a sarcastic tone. I shot a glare at her as she walked out of the room. I slowly drifted off to sleep due to drowsy effect of the drink. I kept dreaming of his heroic return.AuroraI rushed back to my room. The moment Darius released my hands, my heart kept pacing heavily. I put my hand on my chest to steady my heart rate, but nothing changed.“What is Damon doing here?” I asked myself. Seeing him looking dashing in a dark blue tailored suit, with black shining corporate shoes. His slick all-black hair made him look more appeasing.Even in his suit, his biceps and entire body frame seemed to be inches away from shredding completely. I thought after all these months, I could finally let go of whatever bond we shared as mates. All the painful memories of how he took pleasure in making my life uncomfortable all came flowing back. It felt like a huge wave crashing down on me. I sat down on the floor with my back against the wall in the room.“Why did he have to come when I finally moved on?” I cringed at the thought of having to talk to him again. The cruel rejection still remained fresh in my mind, like a nightmare.Yet after several months, even after the f
DamonI clenched my fists until my claws made me bleed. Nothing more belitttling than the smirk on Darius face. He had the facial expression of an oppponent who just won the battle.“I’ll get my revenge…Darius.” I muttered to myself. My wolf growled and tried to transform out to move closer towards him, but I knew this will affect my true intention. A few moments later, I took a deep sigh and gazed at Darius intently.“My soldiers never get scared, they are only baffled with the drillings that’s all, even after we signed a peace treaty. Some might see this as a cowardly act of not fulfilling your oath. I’m sure your no oath-breaker. Right…Alpha Darius?”There was a pin-drop silence across the room. The smirk on darius’ face slowly transformed into sinister sneers and dark glazes. The whole demeanor of the room changed into an awkward environment. His council members who were preesent alongside their pack warriors’ protested in anger against my utterance.Yet, I remained unfazed as
Darius“Damon, what’s he doing here?” I asked myself. It wasn’t uncommon for Alphas to visit other kingdoms unannounced. However, due to the last conflict we faced. It has already increased the cold tension between our packs.Meanwhile, I found myself in turmoil. "What were his motives? Could it be about...” I mumbled to myself. Within quick seconds, I slightly loosened my grip of her hands, and she dashed off before I could say anything to her.I watched her retreating figure and took a deep sigh as a beautiful moment was interrupted by none other than Cameron again.“Cameron!” My wolf growled, getting ready to lunge at him. I shot him a dark glare, which took him aback. He immediately knelt on one knee with his head slightly bowed down.“My Alpha, forgive my interruption. I will accept any punishment you give to me.” He said in a serious tone, which took me aback.I stared at him for a few minutes before I managed to restrain my wolf. I took a weary sigh and replied, “You should tie
AuroraLooking at Alpha Darius at the gym brought back all the pain I faced while I was still in Moonfall pack. The constant mind games and manipulations. Constantly treating me like a personal pet.“I know Darius is different, but sometimes he can really push my buttons.” I thought to myself as I saw the smug on his face. He had a cheeky smile which infuriated me more. I didn’t even realize when raven was trying to signal me to greet him. At that moment, I wish I could wipe that smirk off his face. But, I know that was the end of me. I regained my composure and greeted him respectfully. Before he left, he had a puzzled look on his face, like he had no idea what he was saying to me. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my back.“What happened, did something occur between the two of you?” Raven had a befuddled look on her face. I didn’t have the words to express what I felt in my heart. I could only nod my head in denial. Raven could tell there were some things left unsaid but decided to let them
DariusI walked into the palace from my usual morning exercise. As a hybrid Alpha, I don’t really need to do workouts to keep myself bit as I genetically have a muscular physique with a good metabolism. I still have to maintain my strength and endurance so as not to appear weak to anyone who is willing to challenge.I was enjoying the humming sounds of the birds in their nests in the trees. It gave me a harmonious feeling and relief hearing their beautiful sounds. It really kicked-started my day in a happy mood.“Good morning Alpha.” The workers greeted me in unison as I walked past them as I tried to follow the humming sounds.“Thank y'all,” I said with a broad smile on my face. This took them by surprise as they gasped in awe. I wasn’t known to have a warm personality, especially among the people who worked in the palace.I tried to remain fair and unbiased while giving them orders. But, I tried not to get too friendly with them. So, when I answered them in a joyful manner, they seem
Aurora“I want you to give yourself to me, not just as my breeder…” I kept pondering on that statement. “What does he mean by that?” I thought to myself. I felt a heaviness in my heart as I continued to think deeper into what he said.“Does he think I’m only with him as his breeder?” I clenched my fists as I continued my sparring session with Raven. Today, she joined me to observe my progress. For the few weeks, I have been training alone to get in shape with my routines, and it has shown in my overall fitness and durability. So I was eager to show all what I have learnt on my own as she has been busy training the new recruits who were formerly rogues into the army. The situation along the border has gotten more intense so everyone is on high alert. Unfortunately, I seemed to be off with my rhtym today. Instantly, I found myself face flat on the ground after a quick manuver she did to me.“You seem distracted today, like you have forgotten all your training. I have gotten report th
