Chapter 3: The 47th Date

Today, Chase is now preparing himself for his date number forty seven. It has almost been six months of him just dating. He did not expected it to take this long, he thought he would find the one much earlier, probably in the 10s or 20s in the list but here he is, on his way to attend on his 47th date. His most awaited love at first still hasn't happened and he was willing to throw that dream mid way on the list and just focus on choosing a girl suited for him and yet, he is nearly at the end but he has not settled on anyone. Although he had already declared that he is willing to start this ridiculous and tedious plan again if the first list fails but he is giving it some second thoughts. Even if his leave from work went well and there were no bad news for the past few months he is away, it is making him anxious, he is still worried about his work. He trust that his father would immediately call him if his presence as the heir is urgently needed but he is still worried. He is worried that by the time he got back to work, he would meet new and unfamiliar faces and projects that might take him weeks to learn and get along with.

His worried thoughts about work had to stop when his ride stopped at the famous and most expensive restaurant for lunch, he has been notified that his date had already arrived not too long ago. He has to stop worrying about other things when he is on a date. He wants to give his full attention to his date. One of his bodyguards opened his car door and he got down. He waited for his guards to lineup to the restaurant door before he walked inside.

He had the entire restaurant reserved for just him and his date for four hours, they would not be staying for the entirety of the day thus he only paid then for four hours. He have other locations planned for his date, if his date happens to be a outdoor person, he has a mountain climbing gym ready. If the date happens to be a book lover, he has a bookstore ready. He has every locations ready for whatever possible hobby his date might have.

"Your date hasn't ordered anything yet. She arrived thirty minutes early and still hasn't demanded anything. We suspected that she might be nervous." The restaurant manager reported.

"Bring us a bottle of wine after our introductions. Alcohol might help her calm down." Chase commanded and the manager bow down his head.

Chase continue to walk towards his table and there he spotted a small figured lady's back. She had her raven black hair down adorned with white pearls. Noticing the noises, the girl assumed that her date has arrived so she stood up from her chair and turned around to greet Chase. Her hair flips as she turned around and at this moment, in Chase's point of view, everything was in slow motion. His pupils dilated as he made eye contact with the girl and not much later, he started hearing church bells ringing in his ear. Realizing what is happening to him, his face started to flush red as he felt his heart beating faster. Love at first sight, he is experiencing love at first sight. This thought made his heart race a lot faster that he immediately turned away from the girl to catch his breath. As he was trying to calm his heart down, the girl approaches him and gently poke his back.

"Mr. Chase?" The girl asked in worry and her cute soft spoken voice made Chase blush more. "Are you okay?"

"I'm sorry." Chase apologize before trying to compose himself. He turned back around only to meet the girl looking up at him. Her soft face reminded Chase of Snow White. He tried his best not to get carried away by his heart beat. "You don't have to worry about me, I just felt shy when I saw your beauty." He stated truthfully and this made the girl a bit flustered. "I know that it's quite rude to not know the name of the my date but I did it so that our introductions seems genuine as possible. I'm Chase Fuentes." He introduced as he reaches for the girl's hand and gave it a kiss.

"My name's Bianca Ada."

"Are you Mr. Ada's daughter? The chief marketing officer of FuenTECH?"

"Yes, I am his daughter."

"I remembered Mr. Ada telling me that you had a crush on me ever since you saw me at last year's year end party of the company." Chase said while grinning subtly. She already has a crush on him, this date will work out well for him.

"He did?" Bianca asked in surprised, she paused and think for a short while. "That's so embarrassing, does he have fun embarrassing his daughter?" Chase only response to her with a soft laugh.

"Should we sit at our table?" Chase asked then they both walk towards their table. He pulled out the chair for Bianca like a classic gentleman would before sitting on his chair. A waiter arrived and served them two glasses of wine.

"Wine at 1 pm?" Bianca asked in confusion.

"I was told that you might be nervous so I thought alcohol might help you calm down but..." Chase explained and sips his wine before finishing his sentence. "But it seems like I'm the one that needs to calm down." He continued and gave her a smile. Bianca giggled at him.

"You're so different from my expectations, Mr. Chase." She blurted, she thought she said that in her mind and was afraid that Chase would take offense at the comment but such thought died when Chase smiled at her.

"Please drop the mister, I'm here as your date and not your boss and do you mean that as a good thing?" He already knows that she meant it as a compliment but he wanted her to talk more.

"Absolutely! You look so stern and serious with your photos online and there's not much articles about you so I had assumed you'd be a person that hardly smiles but I'm glad that its not true cause you don't look scary which is a lot opposite from what I had feared." Chase chuckled at this.

"I do intend to separate my business and personal life. I do come strict and probably scary at the work place but I was told that I'm a ball of sunshine outside." Chase response before calling the attention of another waiter to bring their menu. "We should order something. I want to take you somewhere else after we had our lunch."

"Oh, where are we going?"

"I normally find my date's hobbies first before deciding but for you I want to take you at a petting zoo." Chase answered. Because he already thought that she reminds him of Snow White so he figured it would be fun to see when she's surrounded by animals. Will she resemble Snow White more or will Chase see another princess in her?

"A petting zoo?"

"Oh, are you not good with animals? My bad, I should have asked you that first."

"I'm good with animals and I even find some of them cute but I'm afraid I didn't come prepared. I only thought that this is it for our date today so I'm afraid I don't have other clothes with me."

"Then let's stop by at a clothing store. You don't have to worry about anything else."
