Where Have They Gone?

"Wait, Cassidy thought she was meeting up with me? That's so strange! I haven't talked to her since the paintball fight!" I exclaim, confused by Tisha's revelation.

I look around for my phone, but I don't see it anywhere.

"I'm going to check inside and try to find my phone."

I find it on the kitchen counter. There aren't any conversations between Cassidy and I. Why would she think I messaged her? Unless... I tap the settings icon and check for deleted conversations. There it is. But I didn't text her.

"Guys," I call out as I walk back outside. "Someone used my phone to message Cassidy. I found it in my recycled messages, which means whomever did it tried to hide the evidence."

"Who would have done that, and why?" Tisha anxiously asks.
