As they neared the townhouse, she was awake again. Though she had wide eyes, she didn’t say anything. It wasn't until they pulled into the driveway for the house and then into his garage that she looked at him. “What are your plans for me?” Jade asked.
“To get you on your feet in a little while,” Benton said as he looked at her. “Jade, I know that you have had a lot thrown at you in the past few hours. I am sure that you have all the horror stories going through your mind right now as well. I want you to know that I will do what I can to help you right now. You need to be in a hospital, but after what I heard, I doubt any in this area won't do the same to you and throw you out. I might not have a hospital, but I am a doctor. When he had finally woke up the next day, he was glad that he had the day off. He knew that he had a bunch of stuff to do and get for the baby. Jonathan let Jay dressed for the past few hours while he went to the store and got a bunch of baby things, including clothes and some clothes for her as well. He also got a playpen so they could actually have a good place for the baby to sleep. It was higher as well, so it would make things easier for her to be able to reach over from the couch. Jade could feel the anger starting to build up in her. There was just so much that was going on around her that she couldn't actually feel anything but anger. No, right now, she seemed to be in good spirits. He was going to keep an eye on her temperature and also give her pain relievers. Luckily the pain relievers that the nurse had left out for his people to take were there. He didn't want to give her too many of them even though she probably needed them only because she was breastfeeding.That was probably one of the reasons why the baby was slightly lethargic because she had been taking the pain relievers the day before while she was both in surgery and after. After she was done getting ready, he helped her get to the car. Then he went and got the infant and put him in the car seat, and then loaded him up into the car as well. It had taken a little maneuvering, but he had managed to get the base of the car seat in the car, and it was studied. He was actually quite happy with himself. For a little while, it had actually seemed like he wasn't going to be able to get the car seat in strapped properly.
