Caught out

It’s Saturday night everyone wants to head down to the local diner. I am dreading it, most of the popular idiots from shool hang out there along with half the teenagers in town. 

Unfortunately I have been outvoted so hopefully I will still be able to enjoy myself with Jaydon being there if those two don’t wind me up too much. 

When we make it down there we are lucky it’s not too packed out and we manage to find a seat and all order burgers, fries and shakes, the place is starting to get busy as we are waiting on our food. 

I hear the door and annoying giggling sounds coming from behind me, oh great it’s the slu.tty cheerleaders from school. The girls I have had problems with in the past are a part of this group. Jayden, Dean and James instantly check them out and watch them heading for their tables.

‘Hey Talia, Who are the hotties’ asks Dean

‘Just a few bit.ches from my school a year and two above me’

‘Why are you calling them that, not friends of yours I take it’ asks Jayden

‘I don’t really have any friends, but some of that lot have caused me a lot of trouble for no reason. They did end up regretting it mind you, but its over now I really dont want to talk about it’ 

‘Fair enough, if you feel the need I’m here anytime’ Jayden replies.

After we are finishing our food we are hanging around outside there are loads of people about the slut.ty cheerleaders have made their way over and have started to flirt with the boys. 

They seem to have forgotten what I said about them or just don’t care how I have been treated in the past by them as they are enjoying flirting back. 

After an hour of being ignored I’m pretty sick of it so I’m out.

‘Well thats me heading home, you guys have fun with the bit.ches, see you later’

‘Wait Talia why are you leaving’ Jayden asks confused.

‘I’m bored, sick of being ignored and I don’t really want to be around people who have treated me like crap for years. You three are enjoying yourself and I don’t want to spoil your fun, but I just don’t want to be here I would rather just head up the road’

‘I can come too’

‘No Jayden, you stay have fun, I’m fine really don’t worry about me’

‘If you are sure, I don’t like you going on your own I’m here to spend time with you’

‘We have spent almost two weeks together one night is fine for you to spend away, have fun I will see you later’

‘Ok see you later’

‘Bye guys’ I shout

‘Bye Talia’ Dean and James shouts back.

As I am heading up the road I see my dad’s car parking up outside a house. He gets out and then opens up the passenger door and a women gets out the car. I pull out my phone to take a picture to ask him who she is as I see him taking her in his arms and kissing her. I make sure I take plenty of pictures including ones of them going into the house then head home I’m dreading talking to my mum but I’m not letting him away with this.

‘Mum’ I shout as I get home.

‘Through here in the living room’

‘Hi mum, I have some really bad news and I hate that I have to tell you this but you should know, it’s not fair on you if you dont, but I really hate to be the one to hurt you’

‘It’s ok sweety, you can tell me anything, tell me what happened’.

I explain to her about heading up the road on my own seeing dad then I show her the pictures. I feel awful, she’s in floods of tears my dad has been called some quite colourful names too, I can’t believe he’s done this to her, she then asks me to send her one of the pictures. 

I do and she sends it straight to my dad along with a message, but I didn’t get to see what it was, she did say he wouldn’t be staying with us any longer.

Next thing I know my dad is charging in the door and my mum has asked me to go to my room to give them some privacy to talk. 

I head out the door but stay on the stairs I just have a bad feeling about this. 

All I can hear is shouting by the sounds of it the affair has been going on for a while and dad’s not happy my mum is not rolling over and letting him stay after a pathetic apology. 

She has told him to pack up and get out several times and now she has threatened him to call the police. 

Next thing I know I hear the sound of flesh hitting flesh followed by someone hitting the ground and a painful cry from my mum. 

No fuc.king way is he doing that, I think about all the bruises I have been noticing lately on mum, has it been him all the time. 

I run through grab him and punch him in the face ‘get the f***k away from my mum you cheating abusive as.shole’ I shout ‘if you ever come near her again you will get more than that from me. I would also recommend you f***k off before Jayden and his friends get here, they are on their way should be here real soon don’t worry about your stuff we will drop it at your little who.res house’

He is on his a.ss looking up at me stunned before he takes in what I have said and gets up quickly to head out the door. 

I think it was at that moment I truly stopped believing in love, and trusting in relationships I decided then that no-one was ever going to get that close to me to scr.ew me over and hurt me.
