The visit

Jayden pov

I can’t believe my sister is already 15, I’m travelling down today to see her for the holidays I hate lying to her and pretending to be her cousin, but it is for her own safety I just hope she will forgive us when she finds out the truth. 

I hate being away from her all the time but at least I get to see her on most of the holidays, I know its harder on mum and dad I see it in their eyes especially when I’m leaving to visit her only 3 more years left then she will know everything we just need to keep her safe until then.

Everyone in our pack thinks she died when she was born and it was a great tragedy for the Alpha and Luna. 

It wasn’t too hard to sell as my Mum and Dad were devastated having to give up their daughter as soon as she was born, a witch was used to charm her so no one could trace her and her wolf wouldn’t appear when she reached 14. It just needs topped up with a special potion occasionally to stay in effect so she is not discovered before she is 18 and we can bring her back home. 

My sister was blessed by the moon goddess before she was born to be unique and special, unfortunately news spread and it put her in danger from others who would use her for their own gain. So it was decided that they would make it look like my mum the Luna had been poisoned and it had killed my sister and induced labour.

‘Jayden have you got the potion for your sister’ my mum Helena calls to me.

‘Yes Mum, first thing I packed’

‘Remember to take lots of pictures and videos too of your trip for us’ my Dad Harold says.

‘I always do’

‘We love you’ they say together.

‘Love you guys too, I will see you when I get back’

I give them both a hug, then go on to chat with my two best friends. 

‘So I will see you two in around a weeks time then, I want a bit a time just me and my sister before you two idiots gatecrash’

‘Ha ha yeah no problem man’ Dean replied.

‘Yeah see you in a week, we can maybe check out the local talent, a man’s got needs.’ James says.

‘You are such a manwh.ore we are going to visit my sister not for s*x, and besides what are you going to do when you find your mate’ I replied.

‘Human world my friend, won’t affect my future mate so it’s a perfect chance to have a bit of fun’ James says.

‘You know he’s got a point I won’t be turning it down if given the chance.’ Agrees Dean.

‘Ok ok fair point but I’m not ditching my sister all the time, but yeah we can check out the local talent. See you soon guys’

‘Bye’ they replied.

And that’s me off, it’s a 4 hour journey so I will be there by around 5pm can’t wait.

Talia pov

I’m so excited Jayden will be here soon its been ages since I’ve seen him and thankfully his two annoying friends aren’t coming for a week, so I get plenty of time to catch up with him. 

My Dad has been working more than usual and when he’s home he’s always in a bad mood. 

My mum doesn’t seem herself either she looks like she has lost weight and the spark in her eyes has faded, I have heard them arguing a few times but they keep their voices low so I can’t make out what it’s about. 

She keeps telling me she has bumped into things or fallen over because she’s not well and dizzy when I’ve noticed some bruises but I’m not sure what to believe she was never this clumsy or ill before I hope she’s okay.

I need a distraction from my crappy school and this tense household situation, Jaydens visit couldn’t have come at a better time.

I’m sitting in my room looking out my window when I see his car coming into the street. ‘Mum, mum he’s here he’s here’ I scream excitedly.

My mum starts laughing ‘well go on then go out and meet him’ 

I launch myself through the door, out into the street and into my cousin as he has just managed to get out of his car.

Bursting into laughter Jaydan says ‘did you miss me by any chance’ as he hugs me whirls me around.

‘You have no idea, I’m so glad you are here’ 

‘I missed you too Tails’

‘Oh my god when are you going to stop with that stupid nickname I’m not five anymore’

‘Never I will call you it forever’

‘I forgot how much of a pain in the a.ss you were because I was too busy missing you. If anyone else called me that you know i would beat the crap out of them’

‘Ha ha ha, I know but I’m special, and since when did you get such a potty mouth, you shouldn’t be speaking like that.’

‘Yeah you’re special alright, just not in the way you’re thinking, and I can talk however I want. Now let’s get you and your stuff inside before Mum wonders what’s happened to us’.

‘Hi Evelyn’ Jayden greets my Mum before he heads to his room to unpack and rest before our evening meal.

As the three of us are sitting at the table eating our food Jayden asks ‘Where is Thomas, isn’t he usually home by this time. I wouldn’t have minded waiting until he was home before eating’

‘No dear he’s really busy at work at the moment so he’s away for a couple of days’ Mum replied.

‘Yeah he away all the time at the moment, but then at least we don’t have to put up with his bad moods then’ I say

My Mum looks awkwardly at me as she tries to cover ‘ he’s just so busy that he’s just really stressed at the moment when things calm down he will be back to normal’

‘It’s not like normal is much better’ I say under my breath, not knowing that Jayden can hear me with his sensitive hearing, my Mum on the other hand is clueless.

‘Hey Tails, how’s the fighting going, how many do you know now’ Jayden asks me. 

‘Four, just been improving my skills not learning new ones’ I deliberately don’t tell him about the Krav Maga as I want to use it to my advantage. 

It’s good especially when your opponent is bigger than you to use against them, and he’s definitely bigger he’s grown even more at 6f 2 now and muscles everywhere. Where as I’m currently 5f 6 and skinny as hell, I do have muscles but they are lean my legs are smaller than his arms.

‘How about tomorrow you can show me what you got, you never know you might beat me’ he laughs.

‘Don’t get cocky too soon wait till tomorrow you might not be laughing then’ I reply.

After chatting and catching up for a couple of hour we head to bed with the promise of a match after breakfast.
