Betrothed

"Axel,dont!" Nina screamed but he was already engulfed by the vampires.

"Run Nina!"

She forced her feet to move even though she felt guilty for leaving Axel behind.Suddenly a force threw her back.She was hit against the bark of a tree and thrown to the floor.She groaned.

By the time she raised her head,Axel was laying on the ground,blood seeping out from his forehead.

"I'm sorry,Luna" she heard his voice in her head and she was surprised for a moment.They held him up and the vampire who had spoken before walked up to him with long claws.

He lifted his hands with long,sharp nails.Nina's eyes widened.She stood up.

"No oo!" she attempted to run but she was held still by two other vampires.

His hands came down and slashed Axel's throat.Blood splashed on the tree.Nina screamed.The vampire threw Axel's corpse to her feet.Nina panted as she tried to struggle out of their grip.

Where the hell was Blake?! Have they captured him too?

"Let me go! Let go!"

The vampire walked up to her and held her chin staring at her through red eyes.

"I didn't know the Luna's child was this beautiful." he chuckled.Axel's blood on his fingers stained her cheeks.

Nina's eyes filled with tears.Was he the one who killed her mother? Could he be the breed of the vampire and the werewolf that Axel talked about?

She kept struggling in their grip when he asked them to let her go.

"You don't even know how to control your powers.So how do you think you can run away from me,huh?"

"I will still learn how to control them and when I do I will rip your heart out." she said with clenched teeth.

They all laughed at her.He gesticulated to the other vampire

"C'mon we have to get going.I cannot keep my dieing father in law waiting."

Nina wondered at his words.In the twinkle of an eye one of them lifted her on his shoulders and then they were up in the air.

She didn't even think of shouting.She held him so tight that the poor vampire found it difficult to move more faster.

Soon,Nina found that they were now in a different world entirely.The sky was orange in color and it was so quiet.When they landed,he threw her on the ground.Her head spinned from the flying and she needed time to catch her breath.

"Nina."

She raised her head to the sound of that voice.She gasped when she saw her father and Blake tied up in what seemed like a cocoon.Her father was badly injured and if they didnt let him go now he would die.

She got up from the ground and was running towards him when someone blocked her path.She looked up.

He was twice as tall as her.Nina wondered who he was because even in her state she could still think how handsome he is.

This man had eyes as green as emerald.His hair was as black as hers,quite different from the rest of the vampires.His muscles,jaw ...infact everything was perfect.Was he a god or something?

She took a step back and then wondered why she did that? Perhaps to have a better view of this wonderful creature in front of her? She momentarily forgot about her father and noticed that her heart beat differently.

She tried to calm herself down.Perhaps it was her wolf ready to show.

The vampire who had killed Axel,Damon walked up to them.

"She's Nicolina,the Alpha's daughter and the only child."

He scoffed "I asked you to kill them all." the god like spoke.

"Sorry brother.But her father and I striked a deal.Besides she's harmless and innocent.She can't even hurt a fly" he whispered in her ears.

"It doesn't matter." Aiden began to walk away "Finish them off" he said

"No,no.Please." Nina rushed to him and stopped him from leaving "Please don't kill my father.Don't hurt any of them.You can kill me instead.Just let them go"

Aiden stared at her.This was the first time he ever saw someone willing to sacrifice.It reminded him of his father years ago who sacrificed for his mother,yet they both died.

It was okay to sacrifice for her father.But the other guy? Who was he to her? She even had the audacity to stand in front of him an order him on what to do.Does she knows who he is? Obviously not,he knotted his brows.

"What are you saying Nina?!" Ralph spoke "Don't do that."

Nina shook her head.No matter how hard she tried to control her tears,they still forced their way through.

"Just go spend time with your father" Aiden said and then walked away.

What did he mean by that? Nina ran towards her father.He was losing blood quickly.She tried to release him from the cocoon.

"Stop Nina,He'd die quickly if you destroy the cocoon" Blake spoke

Nina bit her lips as she held her father's hand from the web.She brought it to her face and kissed it.

"Dad." her voice cracked "Why did y-you do this?"

"Dont cry,Nina" his voice was weak "I have finally brought the war to an end.I told you I'd do all it takes."

"What do you mean?"

Ralph gazed at his daughter. "I...I gave your hand in marriage to Damon on a deal to stop this war."

"What?" Nina and Blake said in unison

"Damon? That...that ugly piece of shit? He killed mom,dad.And he is the reason you're gonna die.How could you make such a huge sacrifice? What if the war continues?!"

Ralph closed his eyes and opened it again.He had less time left.

"Listen,Nina.You trust me,don't you? I...I believe that you..you can bring our two worlds together again."

"What kind of a belief is that?! Sir,you're putting her life in danger!" Blake said.He was beside himself with anger.His plan was on the edge of getting ruined.

Alpha Ralph ignored him

"Dad.." tears streamed down her face "I..I cant."

"B-believe in yourself,Nina.Your mother was a warrior.The first Luna to ever go to war.I believe you...you took after her." he smiled weakly "Everything will be fine."

She held his palm to her cheeks as her tears swam through them.

Alpha Ralph let out a groan

"I love you,Nina.Your mother does too."

Nina gritted her teeth as her emotions blazed anger.So this was what Damon meant by keeping his dieing father in law waiting.She felt as her father's hand turned cold

Damon came up beside her.

"Don't cry,wife.I'll treat you well,you'll love it" he grinned.
