Dark secrets

Babe's POV

As excited as I was for successfully leaving school, I was also sad at the fact that Hunter was that way and I still am this way. I held my palm in my hand and flashes of images; the number of times I'd done something like this appeared before my eyes.

Sometimes I don't want to, but I just can't control it.

I could've called Pinky to drive me home but I didn't want to because I'm still pretty mad at her.

I took out my phone and continued following the directions from the Google map to be able to make my way to the bus station.

My phone suddenly started ringing and I grinned once I realized it was Fred.

"Freddy boy," I grinned widely.

"I hate you, Babara," he replied, laughing. He knew I hated being called Babara as much as he hated being called Freddy boy.

"How was your first day?" He asked

"Not good. I almost had a fight with a grade one b*tch who ended up getting me drenched in cold soda. So, I'm on my way home as we speak"

"My God Babe. You should have been more careful" He advised.

"I didn't know what came over me. I just thought it wouldn't be fair if I'm to stand up from the seat for her" I explained.

"I'm glad you're fine. They let you leave school just like that,"

I laughed, "More like I did something"

"Don't tell me you did it again Babe. What the hell is wrong with you?" He yelled from the other end of the line.

I couldn't give him a response because of the car that was honking terribly at my back. I turned to see it was a black sleek car, with tinted glasses. I couldn't see who was driving the car but it was scary.

"I'll call you back Fred,"

"Is everything okay, Babe?" He asked worriedly.

"Yeah, everything is good. Just let me call you back," I dropped the call without listening to his response.

Staying rooted at a spot for minutes, my brain was calculating for me the next step to take.

Run, Babara

I increased my pace and as soon as I did, the car started moving towards me. The faster I walked, the faster it moved. I broke into a run and the driver increased his pace.

Am I getting kidnapped?

You know the "the more you way, the harder you are to be kidnapped" word can't work out for me because my weight is below 50kg.

The driver suddenly rolled down the glass and I realized it was Fucking Hunter Webster.

"That was fun," he grinned. I wanted to flip him the middle finger but I stopped myself and continued walking away.

"Did that scare you?" He asked again.

"Like you really care. Wasn't that your intention?" I angrily cried out as I was out of breathe.

"Wow. You can really read my mind,"

"Since when did you become such a psychopath?" I replied.

I continued walking away and he kept on following me."You know once, I killed a cat because it won't stop crying at my window"

"I'm not interested in your tale"

"I've learned the art of peeling the skin off a man's body," I turned to look at him in disgust.

Even if he might be kidding, that is still disgusting.

"But never will I use a razor to cut myself. I guess I'm not the only one who's a psychopath" He began laughing hysterically.

"You're crazy," I said.

"Get into the car, Babara Arnold. Let me drop you off at home"

"No. I know you might have another agenda because you obviously don't want me to act as I know you. So you asking me to enter your car might actually lead to my death" I hissed.

"What if I drive off to your house to tell your aunt about your little secret? I've got one on you now, Babe" He threatened

"Be gone satan. Stop threatening me. I don't even know you"

Before I could turn to walk away, I tripped over a stone and ended up face flat on the hard floor. I groaned in pain as my wounded hand made contact with another stone.

I sat up and realized my knee was bleeding already. Even my back ached so badly.

A shadow appeared on my body. I didn't need to look up to know who it was.

"What do you want? Can't you just go away from here?" I yelled.

He touched my face lightly as a look that I can't decipher crossed his face. He placed his lips lightly behind my ear and whispered.

"If I were you, I'd be careful with getting my blood out at every spot. We don't know if there are vampires lurking around the corner waiting for a host to feed on and if that happens to you, you'll become a pet, your body will no longer be yours and finally, it'll be burned when you're no longer useful. Run Babara before you get killed"

"What are you saying?"

"You should've entered the car when I offered but now I'll love to see you run" He smirked. His iris that was previously green suddenly turned black, so black that it scared me.

The fear that ran through my body made me shiver and rooted at a spot. It was as if his eyes were looking into my soul and not at me. Still shaking, I stood up and began leaping with my wounded knee towards the bus station.

I didn't dare to look back to check if he was still there. I was half leaping, half running. Luckily enough, a bus was already waiting at the station and immediately I jumped into it, paid and I walked in to sit.

As soon as I sat down, someone pushed me into the inner seat and again, it was Hunter.

I was terrified.

"What do you want?" I asked, with a shaking voice

"You,"

He replied. I didn't say anything to him. I knew if I responded, that would give him more power to torment me. I pulled my bag closer to my body and looked out of the window.

"I'll be at your house by eight. Come down by then, I need you to follow me somewhere" He suddenly said. I turned and glared at him.

"What?" I clicked my tongue and continued to ignore him.

"You'll regret it if you don't listen," he growled.

"I love regrets. Don't you have a girlfriend to take with you? Or friends to hang out with. Just restrain from frustrating my life" I begged.

"I love to see your pathetic side. It gives me great happiness. How about you listen to me and I'll spare your aunt your dark secret?" He threatened again.

I closed my eyes as those tears were also threatening to come down.

"What are you doing, Hunter? Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"To make you miserable" He replied.

"You know what, I already regret moving to this town because I thought it'll be different because you'll be here but no, it is the same thing with the place I'm coming from. Guess what, all it'll take is just a slash on my wrist. I know the right spot already and within a minute, I'll be gone. So, keep it coming, and when I can't take it anymore, I'll take my 'miserable' life"

I yelled and angrily pressed the button.

Within seconds, the driver stopped and I jumped off the bus and began limping towards the house that was still like a five minutes walk.

When I got home, my aunt wasn't around and I quickly washed myself in the bathroom and the uniform as well. I laid down on the bed and opened my bandage to look at my palm.

Almost at the same time, my aunt badged into the room, looking angry.

"What the hell happened in school today?" She yelled.

"Nothing important" I responded.

"Nothing important. I heard you hurt Maj at school today"

"Hurt? I did no such thing" I replied

"You broke her arm, didn't you?"

What?

"Broke her arm," I asked in confusion.

"I don't believe you. How you were able to do that is something I don't understand but believe me, Babe, you will regret this. First, we need to go apologize to the poor girl at the hospital"

"I'll do no such thing. If only there's evidence that shows that I truly broke her arm will I apologize to her" I replied stubbornly.

My aunt removed her phone from her bag and pushed it towards my face.

"Tell me Barbara, who the hell is that?" She yelled again.

I collected the phone and watched the video. I was speechless as I saw myself attacking Maj in the bathroom, hitting her head against the floor.

"Who is that Bababra? Answer my question"

Shocked, I couldn't find my voice and when I did, I replied "Me?"
