Freya's p.o.v

I could barely look Lucien in the eye as he hovered on top of me on the bed, sliding his manhood in and out of me. I had wanted it, yet I couldn't live up to expectations.

The nightmares of him finding out about who I truly am and snapping on me only created the tinniest space of doubt for him. And the more I dreamed, the more it expands.

What if the dream is an omen to what he will actually have done to me if he ever finds out?

I find my body lying still like a log of wood as Lucien's hand continue to roam over me. The spark, almost invisible.

Moments later, after he was done, he collapsed on the bed, panting. But I wasn't.

"Freya, my love. Are you OK?" his curiosity piqued as I find him cocking his head while staring at me from the corner of my eye. His face, a proof of concern.

"Yeah. I, uh... I'm doing just fine," I chuckled sheepishly. "Why did you ask?"

"You seem gloomy and I have noticed that in you lately. Everything alright?" he asked sincerely with his thumb c

Freya's p.o.v"No. It's never happening, Kael. We just have to let it be," I said to Kael as he escort me to the market. I have decided to go for some shopping myself and prepare Lucien's favorite meal of hearty stew. Besides, Katherine has been sick lately and cannot keep up with cooking the meals. "So, be it your honor," Kael approved of my decision. We finished our shopping and together with Kael, I head back home. We went straight to the kitchen where he helped me offload the goods we had bought."So, what do you intend to do now, Luna Freya?" he asked, bringing out the potatoes from the bags one after the other."I don't know, Kael," I said solemnly. "I really don't know."A moment of silence followed and Kael's words broke it. "The King have just two years left to be King or else, Cassius will have every right for him to be crowned the next King of Luparia with or without the war."Kael's words caught me off guard and I scoured my eyes on him, unable to believe my ears. "Two

Freya's p.o.vThe air was thick with a lot of unspoken words as I settled on the bench in Kael's chamber, my eyes focusing on the fireplace keeping the room warm."I don't think it's a good idea Kael," I said as he stood against the hearth. "I don't think telling Lucien is the best." Kael paused with adding some woods into the fire. "Why did you say that Luna Freya? What makes you think so?""I had tried to ask him about the human linked to his curse—my father and his response was...it was just not giving and I fear he might descend on me if he ever finds out that I am that human's daughter."Kael turned away from the hearth, moving closer to me at the bench. "Your honor. I have known Alpha Lucien for quite a number of years, I literally grew up with him and believe me when I tell you that I know what he can do and what he can't. You trusted me, and that is why I am telling you this. Alpha Lucien loves you and the whole of Luparia knows that. He will never hurt his Luna for the sins

Amarantha's p.o.v Surprised but not shocked at Kael's revelations about Freya being the daughter of the last piece and human. "This is one great news, I believe," Luna Ryka smiled after Kael finally left. "Should easily pave the way for us getting to that throne quicker." One of the elders from the members whom we have been having a discussion with before Kael came in said, "Very great news your honor. I believe there shouldn't be any reason for summoning any meeting or continue this particular one any longer." Alpha Reid have been gathering and training armies and making sure all is set for the dethroning of Lucien by every means possible even though there's only a little percent chance of him being dethroned by the army alone. We need something more. And Kael had just brought a better suggestion. My mind reeled with the possibilities of earning my revenge on Freya through Kael's revelations but what if he decides to betray me—us? I mean Kael is that unpredictable. His

Kael's p.o.v "The last piece? Have your desperation got you hallucinating, spitting gibberish right here in front of us, Kael?" Amarantha shot following a scoff. She looked at Alpha Reid on the throne, "I hope you know the front of whom you are..." I said what I said, your honors, I repeated, cutting her off while looking them all in the eye. "I had trailed behind her one time and I had seen her make a stop at a manor. I stood by the window of the manor, eavesdropping and there I got to know about everything. There was an old lady and another young looking one. Her father was the human Alpha Lucien had been looking for all this while. The old lady had warned her never to tell Lucien or anyone." Amarantha leaned back on her seat a bit as if in thought. "I knew it," she said facing Cassius. "I knew she could read minds. This was the reason why she was able to read Ian's mind the other time at the court. Why she stood resolute and unwavering about his innocence." A sinister smile c

Kael's p.o.v I adjusted my cloak, my eyes darting around as I walk through the snow path that leads to the Northern pack's territory. My breath, a testament to the long hours of walking. It isn't my first time travelling between the Shadow pack's territory to the Northern pack but sometimes things could get really ugly. My eyes kept darting around, hoping not to be caught by rogues. The unfamiliar ones atleast. My steps hasten but slowed down at the sound of a rustle. I froze. I look around the dense and thick path with tall trees, only to be greeted by darkness. I continued my journey into the abyss but as always, the moon goddess, ever so kind illuminated my path. The rustle intensified and from the footsteps I heard from behind me I could tell something bad is about to go down. I ran, not looking back to know who or what it is. The steps grew closer and closer and the closer they got, the weaker I get from running too long. My human side intervention. Too tired, I fe
