14. WHATS IN FOR ME

Into the woods, where everything seems quiet. A figure suddenly appears covering her face with a hood. Her steps seem light as she walks. Even when she stepped on top of a weak stick, her feet seemed so soft that she couldn't break the branch. When she reached a particular place where she was sure no one was watching. She leaned on the tree, taking off the hood that was hiding her face. Her eyes were red with blood, trailing down. Her face now looked so weak with little blood. Right now if any one could see her. They would surely think she was an old woman in her death bed.

“ You are injured” Suddenly a voice resounds in her head. It wasn't a question but a statement. The weak lady looked in a particular far direction where she was sure the source of the voice could be. There is a figure wearing a large hooded black coat. No one could know if it was male or female. But the deep voice dictated that it was a male.

“Adrian injured my eyes” The figure didn't move. But it crossed distances in an instance twice.

“Foolish child, of all the people to offend, you had to offend Adrian. That kid has a thing of not forgetting things or letting things go easily. I am sure he will come for you. He Imprinted his blood into you. You know he would come for you”

“I'm not scared of him. I wasn't really watching him. But that lady beside him. She was with him. I read her. She has some ulterior motive following him. And Adrian doesn't know.

“That's not what we sent you here. Do your mission and come back. If not for Laura, you would have been dead. Even Before anyone finds out. And now the one favor she owes us has been done. You need to be more careful.” The hood figure brought out its hand. Its hand was clean and clear like a girl's hand. Even its fingers were painted red. But what lay on her palm was a small black pill. “take it. Although it's not that I don't want to remove the seal placed by that boy. But it will trigger if I try to remove it. And we don't want anything jeopardizing our plan. So you have to take care of him. But make sure you don't die. I'm going” The figure turns to go.

“Wait. That lady, Laura. Who is she to us?” The lady asked a question that has always been on her mind. She knew how Laura protected her and she was very much curious about her.

The hooded figure paused for a moment. “You don't have to know now. When the time is right, I will naturally tell you. But I must warn you. Never offend her and those teachers there. They are much more powerful than you can imagine. Especially Laura. We will try to bring her to our side. Till then don't die, I won't have any trouble from your father.” and like that the hooded figure disappeared.

The lady leaned silently on to the tree for a while before she took the pill. Her body glows black. But everything comes with a cause. The lady felt her body being torn apart. Her eyes became shade black. She wanted to shout. So loudly, but she dares not. Her flesh is torn like bugs eating off her skin. Then the glow stopped,and just like that her body returned back to normal. Breathing hard. She got up and she touched her face. Feeling content, she smiled broadly looking at the sky, the sun setting down already. “Sarah. What are you planning?” The lady who happens to be Sarah's classmate. The one who Sarah finds being uncomfortable around her. And her name happens to be Mia.

Mia stretches her hand wide, “ I suddenly have the urge to hunt, no animals in sight. No werewolf in sight either” She looks into the sky. A black wing appears on her back,as a double horn appears on each side of her forehead, her face turns weird, sharp fangs, her face as an eye in the middle of her forehead. She's a horn eye demon girl. With a flap of her wing, she flew up the air “so, what's in for me?”
