23. CONFLICTS II

“Bro! Over here!” Adrian looked over at the source of the voice as he stood Jason walking towards him. He was wearing a hat to cover his face,but Adrian saw through it, and recognized him immediately. Seeing he was far away from him and seeing the distance between them, Adrian walked away not caring to wait.

“You bastard!” Jason swore as he ran. Just to meet up with Adrian. Once Jason was within Adrian range. He held his shoulder, “come on man. You couldn't even wait for me. Your bro!” Jason cried out.

Adrian looked forward, not caring. His cold and emotionless face, made the passerby unknowingly avoid him.

“Where are you heading to?” Jason asked after seeing how Adrian wasn't even replying to him. He was already used to it though.

“Nowhere” A short reply from Adrian.

Jason rolled his eyes. Placing his hand around his shoulder, his handsome features couldn't be denied, sharp features with that sly smile he always wore. Adrian thought he took it from his step mom.

“Why are you here?” Adrian asked directly. He knew how Jason hated walking out in the open. He was always scared because of the way he thinks he charms girls. His sly wicked smile always made him look like that perfect bad boy. But the fact that he wasn't straight, and he loved only men, made things more complicated for him.

“Mom's really angry. Mr Johnson was invited to this academy, all because of her network. And he has been deemed respectful and honored by her. And now hearing how he was being disrespectful to you, she's so pissed off and she vows to see that you are punished.” Jason updated his step brother. Although Adrian hardly cares about what happens in the family business, and matters. Jason never fails to update him. Always giving him the latest updates.

“alright” Adrian replies nonchalantly.

Jason brace himself before dropping the next news.

“And father is coming out of seclusion” Adrian stopped in his tracks, his hand that had been tucked inside his pants, tightened. Although his face was still emotionless, one could see the glint that passed his eyes.

“Why?” Adrian continued his walk. Jason chose his words carefully before replying.

“It's all because Dante is coming back. So father is coming out of his seclusion. And mother ordered that you come for the welcome back ceremony.”

“I ain't going anywhere” Adrian gave a short reply. His reply sounded so simple, but one could hear the determination in that reply. And Jason knew that. He could only sigh in defeat.

“Alright bro. But I hope you and Dante get to settle whatever indifference you have with him. I don't want you fighting over something that no one knows of. Anyway I am going.” Jason wore the hat, waving as he left in a flash he was gone. Adrian stood rooted in his track. He didn't look at Jason, his eyes staring at the cloud. As his mind wanders.

“ What are you thinking about coming back, Dante?” Adrian breathed out “I guess this fight was bound to Happen.”

Sarah walks through the woods late in the night. Her friendship with Kate has improved significantly. And she escalated about this.

“You are here” John hopped down from the tree. His beautiful features resemble that of a beautiful model.

Sarah glared at John. He was the reason why Kate was in trouble.

“Wo. Wo take easy darling. It's not entirely my fault though. Your sister is waiting for you, over there. John quickly directed the location to Sarah and boom he was gone.

Sarah saw Kate standing at the edge of the cliff.

“How's it going? The plan?” Kate asked immediately, she felt Sarah Aura.

“I'm on it” Sarah replied flatly. She was still angry about today's matter

Kate smiles sadly. “Father is getting impatient. The survival of our clans rests on you.” Kate paused, “That's why this mission is deemed very important.”
