The big day finally arrived. Ann was with Zina in her room as the maids and make-up artist did a nice job on her.

"Aren't you happy, you seem lost in thought." Ann called for Zina's attention.

"I'm happy. I'm just a little bit sad that mom and dad aren't here to celebrate with me." Zina's eyes were narrowed as she tried to hold back her tears from trailing down her eyes.

"I understand what you mean dear, but I want you to be strong. They'll celebrate with you from wherever they are." Ann encouraged her to smile.

"Is it time?" Zina asked, feeling nervous.

"Not yet dear, and do not be nervous, everything will be alright."

"Zina gazed at her nanny before standing up to hug her.

"Thank you nanny, you're the best mother I could ever ask for."

For the first time, the words she let out of her mouth made Ann emotional.

"I love you so much, I love you like my own Zina." Ann hugged her back.
