Ava was standing right in front of her, holding a bouquet; looked at her as if Grace was her everything as if she had finally found her other half. Grace was startled by what had happened but the very next second she glared at her in anger. She was reminded of all those horrible things that Ava had done to her. Ava was confused to see that sight; it seemed as if something had changed as if the person in front of her was a complete stranger. Grace took a deep breath and walked towards the car, ignoring Ava completely for she didn't want to talk to her, she didn't want all that pain back, she had to protect herself this time.
Grace sat inside the car and slammed the door. Cora was getting more anxious every second, but she didn't say anything and just firmly held her hand. Grace squeezed her hand lightly and rested her head on Cora's shoulder.
"I'm okay," Grace said and Cora smiled faintly.
