Chapter 52: Transition

“Let's get out of here”, he said as he held my hands before pulling me to the other side of the corridor.

I wanted to ask where we were going but he looked like he wasn't in his right mind. He kept on looking around and I felt how cold his hands were and at the same time it was shaking.

I stopped walking and he did the same. He looks at me worriedly with a questioning look in his eyes.

“Gideon, we need to go back. The woman who protects me needs our help, she is in danger”, I informed him and I know that he knows that woman especially that they are working together.

“Let's leave for now, my love. Your safety is our priority”, he uttered that made me think why.

“But–”, he cut me off by pulling my hands together and it enabled me to speak another word.

“I will take care of it, Calliope. Don't worry too much, okay?”, he assured me and I just nodded even though I know that he won't probably see it.
