~MARCELLA~

“Stephanie, if you don’t blow that balloon in the next five seconds, I swear I’m going to lose my mind.”

“I am blowing it!” she snaps back, cheeks puffed out like a chipmunk, eyes glaring at me as she struggles with the stubborn balloon in her hands.

I cross my arms, pacing the living room like a general supervising a battlefield.

“You’ve been ‘blowing it’ for the past two minutes,” I fire back dramatically. “At this point, I could have inflated ten already!”

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    WELCOME TO MY GAME

~FIORELLA~I hate that I’m impressed.I hate it more than anything else I’m feeling right now.Because Lucas doesn’t just present….he commands.I stand there, arms folded loosely, chin slightly lifted, watching him move through the room like he owns it. Like the space bends to him. Like every word he says is something these students didn’t know they needed… until now.And the worst part? They’re eating it up. Every single one of them.I watch the shift happen in real time….the distracted ones sitting up straighter, the bored ones suddenly interested, the ones who came here just to pass time now scribbling like their lives depend on it.He’s good.No….He’s very good.My jaw tightens just a fraction because he went first.Because now I have to follow that.Because if I don’t outdo him, even slightly, even subtly… then what? They’ll compare.Of course they will. And I don’t lose comparisons. Not here. Not ever.My gaze sharpens on him as he continues speaking, paci

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    THE PRESENTATION

~LUCAS~“Good morning, once again,” I begin, my voice steady but less rigid now. “If you are here, it means you chose law. Or perhaps… law chose you.”“But what is law, really? Is it rules? Statutes? Courtrooms?”“Or is it something else entirely?” I add. “Because the truth is….law is not just what is written. It’s how it is used.”“Before we proceed,” I say, my voice steady, measured, “I want to ask you something.”The room is quiet, waiting, and attentive.I let my gaze sweep across the students, slower this time. Not scanning like before. Not analyzing exits or corners.I'm actually looking at them now.“How many of you chose law because you were told it’s a powerful career?”A few hands go up, hesitant and uncertain. And I nod slightly.“And how many of you chose it because you believe you can make a difference?”More hands this time. Some go up faster. Some are higher. There’s a shift in the room. It's small, but noticeable.I take a step away from the de

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    COME AND DRAG ME OUT, IF YOU CAN

~LUCAS~Zurich feels… quieter than I expected. There's movement, cars, people, the distant hum of a city that knows exactly what it’s doing—but compared to Paris, compared to the constant sharp edge of competition back at the firm, this place breathes differently. It's calmer, and almost deceptive.I step out of the car first, my shoes hitting the pavement with a dull, controlled sound as my eyes lift to the building in front of us.The law school. It’s… smaller. Not unimpressive, but not grand either. No towering glass walls. No intimidating architecture screaming prestige. Just a clean, structured building with wide windows and a quiet confidence about it.“Expected something bigger?” Fiorella’s voice cuts in from behind me.I don’t turn immediately. My eyes are still scanning the building, taking in the details….the modest signage, the students walking in pairs, the lack of overwhelming security or ceremony.“Maybe,” I admit finally, glancing over my shoul

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    WHY DO YOU KEEP FIGHTING ME ON EVERYTHING??

~FIORELLA~Lucas steps into my room again, and just like that, the space between us disappears.Though it's not physically, but something about having him in the room again makes everything feel… smaller, closer, and more intense.I walk toward the bed, picking up my tablet.“Show me.”He moves beside me, close enough that I can feel the heat from his arm.His arm is not touching me, but it's too close.I keep my eyes on the screen. He leans slightly, pointing at a section.“This part,” he says. “We’re both explaining the same concept differently.”I glance at it, and I see that he's right Of course he is.“We merge it,” I say, and he nods in agreement.“Exactly. We should.”We fall into a rhythm after that…. talking, adjusting, refining. There's no tension or arguments this time, just work. And somehow, that feels even more dangerous.Because this ease is not supposed to exist between us. Not after everything. Not after that night. Not after the way we look at

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    COME INTO MY ROOM

~FIORELLA~I don’t open his message immediately, when I get a notification and read his name. And I deliberately lock my phone and toss it onto the bed like it insulted me.Because if I open it too fast, it means I’ve been waiting. And I haven’t.I refuse to be that girl. The room is quiet again, but not the same kind of quiet from before. This one feels… restless. Like something is pacing back and forth inside my head, refusing to sit still.I walk to the window, folding my arms as I stare down at the city. Zurich glows differently at night…..clean lights, calm streets, everything orderly in a way that almost irritates me.It's too perfect and controlled, too unlike what's going on inside me.My jaw tightens. This is ridiculous because it's just a message, from a colleague…. nothing more.So why am I standing here overthinking it like it carries any weight?Annoyed with myself, I turn sharply, grab my phone, and unlock it.Lucas: I’ve sent my part. Go through

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    I WON'T BEND AROUND HER PRIDE

~LUCAS~By the time I step out of her room, my patience is hanging by a thread. The door shuts behind me with a quiet click, but it doesn’t match the noise in my head. Everything in me feels loud….too loud for a hallway that looks like it was designed for silence and control.I stand there for two seconds, staring at her door like it personally offended me.Annoyance burns under my skin, sharp and relentless, mixing with something else I don’t want to name. Something far more dangerous. Then I drag a hand down my face and start walking fast. Because if I don’t move, I might actually turn back and say something I won’t take back. And that’s not an option, not here, and not with her.My footsteps echo softly against the polished floor, but there’s nothing soft about the way my jaw is clenched or the way my fists keep tightening and loosening at my sides.Fiorella Vincenzo is impossible. She's so complicated. And she's going to be a problem.No….she already is.And

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    AN ATTACK

~ELENA~“Get the babies now!”Something in my tone snaps them into motion. Valentina reaches for one baby. Gianna scoops up another. I clutch the third to my chest, heart racing.Vincenzo appears instantly. “What is it?”“I don’t know,” I whisper. “But something’s wrong.”He stu

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    DANGER LOOMS AHEAD

~ELENA~“My daughter belongs to all of them,” I announce.Laughter breaks out—low, cruel, disbelieving.“Daughters?” one of them repeats. “You expect us to believe three men fathered three identical children?”“Yes,” I reply boldly.Outrage erupts.“That’s perversion!”“Th

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    MY DAUGHTERS BELONGS TO THE THREE OF THEM

~ELENA~I know something is wrong the moment they come back into my room after taking Fiorella and Marcella to the nursery. Not because they say anything. But because the house feels… heavier.Vincenzo closes the door behind them carefully, like the walls might be listening

  • Triplet Heirs; The Romano daughters    UNIQUE, DIFFERENT KIND OF LOVE

~ELENA~That night, when the house finally grows quiet, reality settles in.Not the fear kind, but the good kind. The kind that hums softly in your chest and tells you this….this moment….is real. The nursery light glows faintly down the hall.I sit in bed, pillows stacked behi
