As days passed, Stacey was allowed to go out more. She now knew every nook and corner of the mansion she was living in, and she could say she was glad only for that one thing. The breakfast she had with the alpha and his two friends were something she was tired of but it was already a competition, she was never going to give them the satisfaction of making her tired.

Another morning of seating with them to eat and Stacey already regretted it. She halted in her tracks as she entered the room, noticing only the alpha seated on his chair, his hand stroking his chin as he looked up at her. She didn’t want to give herself hope, not that she was interested but she sensed a spark of light gleam in his eyes as he saw her.

“Your highness,” she greeted, bowing curtly before making her way towards the chair.
