Williams laced his fingers with Jedidiah’s and gently pulled him out of the room and shutting the door behind them. As Jedi tried to continue down the hall Williams didn’t move nor did he let go.

Jedidiah blinked and turned to look at him. “Liam, what’s wrong?”

Williams was looking at the floor and scuffed his socked foot against the hardwood floor. “Detective Adrien should be here in,” he looked at his watch, “twenty minutes, maybe less. He needs to talk to us, Luca too.” He kept his voice low so as not to be heard through the door.

Jedi leaned against the opposite wall of Williams and sighed. “So what we wake Luca up in twenty minutes? He’s tired, you know that,” he said, his voice just as low.

“I know he is,” said Williams. “I figure… we speak to Adrien first. There is some information that he has for us that I’m not sure Luca is ready to hear. You and I need to determine how much to tell him.”
