Semion’s POV

At 11pm, I got back to the mansion, and the atmosphere was deathly cold and silent. My feet moved swiftly, up the stairs but I didn't forget to grab a glass of juice to at least appease my mate.

These little things I take note of. When she was stressed from arguing with Selene, I figured I could make her coffee. And now, I had kept her waiting, and while I rushed back, there was nothing in sight to purchase to appease her.

At this point, a glass of juice should do the trick.

But then, it was my first time after all. My first time of actively caring for another person, away from the duties of an Alpha and the lives of the soldiers under my care.

She wasn't my soldier, or another wolf I could handle with a tough fist. She was delicate, even though she had thorns. She needed to be wrapped in warmth and silk and I just hate to see her cold and brooding.

This trip to Kieran’s Pack was ordained, well planned by the Moon Goddess.
