NANCY'S POV
Dinner with Derek was everything I dreamt it'd be.
He was sweet and charming and true to his testimony earlier, the food had been heavenly.
Nothing better than having two orgasm worthy meals in one day, right?
We talked on and on about nothing in particular, switching topics and all and it was the most fun I've had in a long time.
It was beautiful and he didn't pry much into matters I wasn't comfortable talking about, like my past, my family.
One thing he's not is pushy, I learnt that tonight.
After the meal, he took me on drive through the town.
I've not been out of the pack house since arriving it so it was a kind of adventure for me, seeing the beautiful town on this other side of the woods.

NANCY'S POVI was surprised to see him in my room when my eyes finally came open, freeing me from that horrible dream.It'd only been a dream, the dreadful scene I'd been trapped in, but somehow, his voice and his promise to protect me had gotten through to me and had been the beacon that had lead me out of that gripping darkness of a nightmare.I was too scared to fight the holding his strong arms around me, holding me to him like some child in the sure, protective arms of its father.I needed his strength and the reassuring bass of his deep, velvety voice promising me that it's okay, that I'm safe here with him.I let him hold me to the sculpted hardness that is his body, clinging to him like my life depends on it.At this point, I think it probably does.My abdomen hurt, I knew it was the spot that Laura's fist had impacted during the last practice.
