Unholy Desire

“She’s truly something else, acting as if she doesn’t know the damage that has been done,” a lady mumbled from afar as she eyed Aurora from head to toe.“Pfft. What did you expect from such a disgusting figure?” another lady chimed in with a sneer.Aurora arched a brow and glanced at the two women. Their stares were sharp, deliberate and unkind. And they weren’t the only ones watching. All around the square, pack members paused in their movements. Conversations quieted as eyes followed her every step while disdain hung heavy in the air.Aurora's throat tightened, but she refused to lower her head. This wasn’t new.Ever since she failed to awaken her inner wolf, the whispers had grown louder. Some called her weak. Others called her useless. A few were bold enough to mutter “wolf-less” under their breath. If not for her parents…Aurora's parents were the pack’s most respected physicians. They treated the Alpha himself, his family, and the highest-ranking warriors. Their status had shiel

Cleaning the large hall where pack gatherings and parties were usually held, was a lot of work for Aurora. Still, the small hope that she might eventually leave the hellhole she had been trapped in kept her going throughout the night until she finally managed to clean the entire place. After finishing her work, she headed over to the place that had been assigned to her as a room. It was the pack’s storage room for cleaning equipment. In that cramped space were stacks of cartons and piles of rags, which she used as a bed. The place was stuffy because of the strong smell of cleaning supplies, but to Aurora, it was the only space she could call her own.As Aurora lay on her makeshift bed, she stared at the small wall clock, the only decoration inside the room. The time was already eight minutes past five in the morning. With an exhausted sigh, Aurora placed her hand beneath her head, using it as a pillow as memories of her parents slowly filled her mind. They had been killed for a crime

“What the hell is going on?”“Hey, is it me, or did Alpha Maverick just claim that Aurora belongs to him?”“Damn it! The daughter of a traitor is definitely going to create a scene on the day of our Alpha’s birthday.”Murmurs filled the air as the eyes of those present stared at the scene before them in bafflement, but despite that, Aurora couldn’t help but scan her surroundings, wondering if this was some kind of dream or a cruel joke.Besides, why would Alpha Maverick be one of my mates? Aurora questioned herself. After all he had done to her and her family, the last thing she wanted was to be mated to him. “Besides, I wished for a mate and now I have three… no, four mates when all I wanted was just one,” Aurora whispered, biting her lower lip.Matheus, noticing the movement of her lips, arched his brows in concern as he grabbed her other wrist. “Hey, are you alright?” he inquired, his voice warm, momentarily soothing Aurora’s tense nerves.“I’m… I’m confused,” Aurora replied, her v

After Alpha Maverick's words, Aurora was dragged out of the pack's grand hall into his chamber and thrown onto his bed before the door was locked behind her. She didn’t bother rushing to the door or calling for help. Doing so would be a waste of time.‘Killing myself right now would be useless. How can I take revenge on Alpha Maverick if I’m dead?’ Aurora thought as she sat upright on the bed, pushing the strands of hair away from her face.“For now, I just need to wait… wait for a chance. If he releases me, I can choose a mate powerful enough to help me get my revenge,” she thought.Meanwhile, Alpha Maverick remained in the grand hall long after Aurora had been taken away. He stood in silence, his expression unreadable as his thoughts drifted elsewhere. The issue of the dying warriors still lingered in his mind. More reports had come in, and the situation was beginning to spiral out of control.Just last week, Alpha Maverick had been in his study when Beta Logan came to inform him

A low chuckle escaped Maverick’s lips, dark and unsettling despite the blade lodged halfway into his chest.“Fuck…” he muttered, glancing down briefly before lifting his gaze back to her. “I just got stabbed by a bunny.”His smirk deepened.“Well… that’s new,” he drawled, his voice rough with amusement as his hands settled on Aurora’s waist. In the next second, his grip tightened around her wrists. “Didn’t expect to wake up to a bunny trying to murder me.”His gaze locked onto hers, dark and piercing.“You’ve got guts, I’ll give you that… but more courage than sense. Too bad I’m not that easy to kill.”Aurora’s eyes widened in shock. Blood stained his chest where the dagger had struck, yet he showed no sign of weakness.“Why… why aren’t you dying?” she asked, her voice unsteady.Maverick scoffed. In one swift motion, he flipped their positions, pinning her onto the bed while holding both her wrists above her head.Aurora gasped, her breath hitching as her eyes met his. His sapphire ga
