ZENITH

The sun was beginning to set and the celebration was still going on. Zenith kept thinking about what could have called for such a celebration that had taken full swing during the midnight.

He stared at the sky and noticed a star. It was time.

He walked towards the gate and entered. No guards was in sight.

Another thing to note.

With every steps he took towards the lavish palace of the Alpha King, Zenith felt some kind of burden on his chest. It was different from the one he has carried for years.

He shook off the feeling. This was not time to feel such burden, it was time to be the Lycan king.

He reached the huge door and noticed two agile and well trained wolves guarding it. As he tried to walk past them, the men stepped forward.

"Your invitation card?" One of them asked.

With an arched brow, Zenith decided to use that moment to roll the ring on his fingers to see if they understood what it was but they did not.

"We asked a question." one of them reminded him and he came out of his act. With raised brows, he lifted his chin.

"Tell Lionel I am here. Just add that Golden and Purple Ring has arrived." He told them. The guards shared a look and it seemed like they had mind linked each other because one of them walked away.

Zenith waited. He was going to. Patience is the key. He learnt that years ago.

The guard soon came back and they both paved a way for him to enter. He walked through their midst and soon regretted it as the stench of smoke, sex, food and alcohols slammed into his nostrils in full force.

He swallowed hard and progressed forward. As soon as he stepped into the midst of the crowd. Every thing stopped and all the attention was shifted to him.

He was the Lycan King. The attention was necessary and at the same time dangerous because now they would be at alert.

He did not look any where as he took long strides towards Alpha King Lionel who had a smile on his face. It was a welcoming smile that was dipped into the blood of deceit and lies.

Zenith kept his face blank as he stopped.

"Begin the party!" Lionel yelled and everyone got back to their party mood.

Lionel's smile widened as he stared at Zenith. They were waiting for who will greet. It was definitely not Zenith.

After a show of staring contest, a shriek broke through and Zenith immediately knew who it was.

The bimbo.

He did not turn to look at her.

"You have arrived." She grinned wide as she stood beside Lionel who looked displeased that she came. Zenith glanced at her and the entire make up on her face and the way she dressed did nothing to convince him.

"Hmm, Selda. How about you leave us. We have something to discuss." He told her.

Selda's lips morphed into a sad pout and she gazed at her brother before walking off.

Lionel watched his sister walk away and turned back to Zenith. "As you can see, this party was thrown on my sister's behalf since she would finally be getting married so please don't be confused."

Zenith only blinked once in reply.

"Anyway, the guard will show you to your room or you might as well enjoy the party." He told him, zoning out for a second and smiling back at him.

"I would rather we discuss now." He told him. Lionel laughed out and shook his head.

"No, please. As I can see that you are not interested in the party, it would be bad of me to do that. You can go to the room to get some rest. My sister would be mad at me." He told him.

The guard came forward and extended his hands out, guiding him. Zenith hesitantly followed the guard. As they walked up the stairs, he could feel the eyes of some people on him.

Good. They were at alert. A show of fear.

As soon as he settled in, he sent the maids that were waiting to attend to him away and he stood before the window, staring at the moon.

Something was bugging him and he could decipher what it was.

As he closed his eyes, his ears twitched as a particular and familiar howl resonated in his ear drums. Then suddenly his hands gripped a bond from that deepest of him. With that as a guide, he walked out of the room and walked through the corridors before finally stopping before a wall. His eyes widened as he stretched out his hands to feel it but a voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Lycan King."
