Valera’s POV

I held the glass cup of juice perfectly in my hand; the cool glass clashed against my fingers as I lifted it up to my lips, and Celia's eyes were firmly on me, watching me so tight, radiating a sweet smile.

However, I noticed her cat; just for a moment, it was wagging its tail in an odd way; it kept moving recklessly, whispering to itself, oblivious that I understood its language. A language only I could understand.

“Don’t drink it. It’s harmful.”

The cat’s words were clear, echoing through my ears like a warning bell. My heart raced heavily; fear washed my veins. I understood clearly; I knew it.

Celia's sudden kindness was unreal; it was a trap. She didn't change a bit! There was no way she could. She wanted my baby gone.

I instantly forced a smile, and I acted like nothing was wrong. My hands began to shake slightly, and I pretended to raise the cup again. But I needed to be smart. I needed to act fast.
