Valera's Point of View

I couldn't believe where I was.

I have never been to such a place before.

I woke up feeling quite healthy now, but my arms hurt greatly.

I lifted my hands and felt some kind of sharp pain there.

Now that I remembered all that happened vividly, everything became more glaring to me.

I cried silently because I could feel a change in my body; a whole lot had changed.

Before now, I didn't feel pain.

I have never felt pain before now; I got healed of any wound before a minute of having the wound.

Tears filled my eyes and walked down my cheeks as I blinked my eyes.

Just then, he walked in, the most handsome human I have seen, the one who held my hands minutes ago, asking if I was okay, the one I shouted and cursed, demanding why he ordered his guards to kill my best friend.

I had some strange feelings in my body, like one that my body was connected to.

Soon he moved closer, held my hands, and stared deeply into my eyes.

"I am glad you are better now! I will take you home!”

His soothing voice echoed deeply into my ears.

He helped me stand up from my bed with his soothing touch.

I couldn't fathom why my heart started having this sudden yearning for him.

I was glad he would take me back to the jungle; I couldn't wait to see my friends again.

In less than a few minutes, I was driven to a big, white, gigantic building with the inscription, “Sunlight Pack."

One of the guards opened the door of the red car for me, and I stepped out of the car.

He stepped down as well and walked towards me and held my right hand as he walked me into the building.

I couldn't keep my calm anymore; why was he taking me to his heavenly place?

I just wanted to go back to my jungle to meet my friends and family.

“I thought you wanted to take me back home; I want to go back to my friends and family, please!” I pleaded.

He looked at me pitifully without uttering any words as he shook his head.

“Please,” I pleaded again as I stood to a halt.

“When you are healed, you will tell me the name of your pack and the location, and I will take you there!” he eventually said.

I was astounded, as I was lost in thoughts of what he meant by that.

I have never belonged to any pack; I have lived all my life with animals in the jungle; I couldn't fathom out the pack he was asking me.

“I don't belong to any pack; I grew up in the jungle where you picked me up; please take me back; my friends would be worried about me!”

He gave me an unexpected look, as if he had never heard that before.

“You mean you have lived in the jungle all your life??” he asked shockingly.

I was mute, thinking what was bad about staying in the jungle, and I responded with a nod.

“Well, once you are fully healed, I will decide if you will go back there or not, for now! You need to have your dinner and rest!” he said and continued walking as I followed him.

I have never seen a beautiful setting called a house all my life; I felt so warm in it.

“Is this where humans stay?” I asked myself rhetorically, because this looks like the exact description of what heaven looks like in the story told to me by Lana, my friend.

If only Lana was alive, I would inform him that I had seen the heaven he was always talking about.

Entering the house, he immediately ordered the maid to take me to one of the rooms and clean me up.

I came out looking more refreshed and dressed in beautiful attire.

I was led to the dining table, where I saw the handsome man sitting with his stern gaze at me.

I felt very shy and immediately removed my eyes from him.

Dinner was broccoli, some cooked green grain, and some fried chicken.

I sat down at the beautiful table placed before me with some scrumptious delicacies.

“I asked them to make you some delicious fried rice and broccoli and chicken; I hope you will like it,” he said with a handsome face.

I wanted to tell him I haven't tasted these delicacies looking nice and beautiful before.

I took my spoon and scooped some into my mouth; it indeed tasted very nice, like an already hungry hoodlum, and within minutes I devoured everything.

“I was glad you liked it.”

Soon I saw a beautiful lady walking in, tall, with a slightly framed body.

She stood at a distant gaze at us annoyingly.

I could see enormous anger and jealousy written all over her face.

I gazed back at her; I could see Alpha Kelly was already engrossed in his meal; he barely notified someone entered.

I wanted to tap him that there was a lady gawking annoyingly at us.

However, I kept quiet and watched and eventually took a glass of water and gulped it down my throat.

Annoyingly, she turned back.

It was at that point that Alpha Kelly heard her footsteps and raised his head; before he could say a word, she disappeared out of sight.

“W..wh..is she?” I eventually found myself asking him.

“You don't have to worry about her. What is your name?” he asked, staring into my eyes.

“Valera!” I responded in a low, soft voice.

“Do you care for a glass of wine?” he asked to reach out to one of the big bottles of colored red water.

“Oh! It's called wine,” I thought, and I instantly nodded that I wanted.

I wanted to have a taste, to see how it tastes.

He opened the bottle, and a loud pop echoed.

I watched him pour it into the glass cup and hand it over to me as I gulped it down my throat.

I loved the taste and demanded more and more; he kept giving me, and I kept gulping them down my throat as he did the same too.

I didn't know when I started feeling dizzy; my whole body felt weak and numb.

All I remembered was that I was being carried like a baby by Alpha Kelly as he took me straight to his room.

I remember his succulent lips touching and caressing my breast.

I loved the feeling I got from it.

I love his touch.

It was the first time I would ever be caressed and touched by a human.

I pulled him to tell myself and said that I wanted more.

Valera’s POV I held the glass cup of juice perfectly in my hand. The cool glass clashed against my fingers as I lifted it to my lips. Celia’s eyes were firmly on me. She was watching too closely, smiling sweetly. But then I noticed her cat. Just for a moment. It wagged its tail in an odd way. It kept moving recklessly, whispering to itself. It didn’t know I could understand its language. A language only I could understand. “Don’t drink it. It’s harmful.” The cat’s warning was clear. It echoed in my ears like a bell. My heart raced. Fear rushed through my veins. I knew it. Celia’s sudden kindness was unreal. It was a trap. She hadn’t changed at all. She wanted my baby gone. I forced a smile. I acted like nothing was wrong. My hands shook slightly. I pretended to raise the cup again. But I needed to be smart. I needed to act fast. I placed my hand on my stomach. I pretended to feel sudden sickness. “I think… I think I’m going to throw up,” I said. I pushed t

  • Valera's Payback   Day of decision of my stay in Sunlight Pack

Valera’s POV The day that would decide my future finally arrived. I stood weakly in the middle of the training ground. Two packs surrounded me ... the Sunlight Pack and the Silverclaw Pack. The air was tense. Everyone was watching. My heart pounded hard and would not stop. I could not believe Alpha Kelly suggested we fight. Why would he want that? He knew I was pregnant. He knew I was weak. He knew I was unsure of myself. I looked at the crowd. I looked at myself. This was going to be serious. But the fire I used to feel before a fight… it was gone. Something inside me had changed. The small weapon I was given felt heavy. My grip was weak. My fingers shook as I tried to balance myself. My eyes dropped to the ground. My mind drifted back to the jungle ... where life was simpler. The animals. The trees. The freedom. I wished I could go back there. I missed the jungle. I was the boss there. But now… it was impossible. Not with a child growing inside me. I pla

Celia's Point of View Alpha Kelly's face was filled with anger and panic as he stormed into the room. “Stop!” he shouted, his voice filling the large space. I froze instantly. Everyone froze. I had never seen my fiance with such an angry face before. Immediately, the doctor stepped back and lowered the syringe as Kelly approached him. I was annoyed. I wanted to move closer to Kelly, to touch him, to find out how he knew about us. How did he know what we were about to do to this miserable jungle girl? But I was stunned. I could only watch him let out his fury. “What the hell is going on here?” he growled, his eyes moving between the doctor, the nurses, Luna Catherine, and me. “Kelly, you need to calm down… we were just...” Before Luna Catherine could finish, Kelly cut her off. “You were about to kill my child?” he snapped, his voice thick with anger and shock. Luna Catherine gasped like a fish battling for air. “But… Kelly… she is nothing!” she stammered. “She’s just a...

  • Valera's Payback   Are You Pregnant?

Valera’s Point of View It’s been days now. I started feeling strange in my body. It was first unprecedented dizziness, accompanied by a constant need to lie down. Now, it’s an unbearable morning nausea that won’t stop. I battled with my tummy every morning as if it were trying to change its position in my body. I began having this unbearable headache. My head pounded heavily. It was the same today. I began to feel this unending, unprecedented phenomenon again. I immediately hurried to the bathroom, holding firmly to the sink for support as I vomited again. It had a very bitter taste. My body trembled afterwards. I washed my face with the water gushing out of the sink tap. Then I wiped my mouth with the towel hung on the door. I leaned against the wall. The room started spinning in my eyes. I closed my eyes instantly to stop watching it spin. My whole body began to feel different—heavier, slower. I didn’t understand what it was until now. I thought it was just a chan
