Chapter 14

We found ourselves at the base of a recently burned down house. Among the charred remains were severely burned, half eaten bodies. I knew in an instant we were at the right place. We moved hastily and silently through the rubble as we made our way to a clearing in the middle of the wreckage. Before us was a set of stone steps leading down into the basement of the once standing house. We pulled out our flashlights and proceeded down into the darkness. By now the fear had me shaking and wondering what would become of Liam if I didn't make it through the night.
