I broke my legs free and hopped up to my feet on the table. Looking around me I was completely out numbered. Dimietry came up from behind me and tried to restrain me but I fought him off and threw him off my back onto the cavern floor. Jumping on top of him, I grabbed another finger nail and ripped it off, forcing him to scream out in pain. The other changelings moved to help their leader but he motioned for them to stay where they were. Dimietry grabbed my leg and pulled me off balance sending me crashing down next to him. He climbed on top of me and tried to pin me down but I was too swift for him and escaped out from between his legs. By the time he turned around I was in the standing position and ready to fight. I reminisced about the time I spent with David, Sylvia and Tony. We bonded so much in so little time it felt like they’ve been a part of my life for years. Pulling back the sleeping bag the mysterious occupant began to cough violently and thrash about. In an instant David leapt from the cloth as though it had been on fire. It was a cool, breezy and stormy night. Rain came down in sheets, as a dark figure stood before a house. The house was pretty ordinary, white with blue shutters; it didn't have more than two bedrooms. It looked like a cozy little family home with flowers and shrubs lining the front lawn, and then the smell from the pellet stove smoke invaded his nostrils.
