Chapter XVI
Karilaya stood frozen when she realized where she was, so many things came playing inside her mind. Was she found out, do they know her, why exactly was she here, and for what reason? Those were the things that kept plaguing her mind when she was finally left within the confines of one of the royal guest rooms of the castle.
Though the place seemed the same, several things had been removed such as their banner and a few others things that showed the Lushan heritage and replaced with western empires.
Karilaya suddenly felt defeated right now, being caught halfway through it all, she could not understand how she ended up in that situation though she was so careful.
She took a peek at the terrace, three guards were stationed just below all looked well trained and were fully armored, she then proceeded to move towards the door silently and carefully nudging the door’s knob, it clanked but did not open.
