Captain Maxwell was still busy ordering the guard to make a perimeter and secure the whole area. That was why he was suddenly caught by surprise when the carriage arrived, and its doors flew open, releasing a lady clad in a white gown.
“Captain, I need to talk to you,” The lady did not waste any time saying when she finally got to him.

Karilaya felt a bit of the weight on her shoulders lighten. Seeing as one by one the townspeople were being released from their ropes and set free from their cages.
