“So what is it that you advice we do?” Prince Alexander turned to lady Kaya who remained silent afterward.

Alexander knew he had to submit and admit defeat if he wanted to keep what little leverage he had with the woman. He knew that that time was the best chance he had to try and mend their broken connection, seeing as his advisers were at a loss.

Lady Kaya quickly lowered her head when she faced him. “Apologies, my lord, seeing as we still garner distrust and fear from your men, I think it would be wise if we do not partake in this. As much as we would like to help, I think it would be best to avoid any kind of act that could cause us more spite and suspicion. I think it would be best if I just continue my efforts in preparing my body and my mind for the duty that you have bestowed upon me” The woman’s words were stern and full of authority even though it had that sweet warm tone.
