I’m sure she wanted this, to push my nerves too hard so I’d ruin everything left. I guess I fell for her trap. The hall felt like it was closing in and my mind fixed on two options. Run or face her. I was about to run when Kai spoke up from the stage, "Seize her.” Two guards moved from the right end of the hall towards my direction. My heart slammed hard against my rib cage and my breath caught in my throat. “Huh? Me? She came at me first. I wasn’t going to just–” At this point I wished the ground could open up and swallow me. To my surprise the guards walked past me to where Sarai stood, dragging her by the arms. She followed the guards quietly without making a scene or saying a word. Finally, that served her right.
