View MoreIt's been 10 years since he knew her. And in that span of time, how he wished to see her again but time didn't allow it. And now, the girl he's been wanting to see is only a few meters away from him. Will she remember him after what happened to him and her sister back in highschool? She didn't change at all but became more beautiful and attractive than before.
Kairo, Kylo, and Buster were looking at their friend who was in dazed, holding the resume of their new found secretary. "What happened to him?" Kairo asked looking at Kylo and Buster pointing at Kenzo but the two men only shrugged their shoulders.
"Bro!" Kylo called Kenzo. "Yes? What are you saying?" Kenzo was brought back to his senses when he heard his friend's voice. The three men laughed at their friend. Kenzo creased his forehead.
"We're asking you if she met your qualifications? We've chose her from the rest because we thought that she deserved the position." Buster said. "Besides, bro, she's really a beauty and WOW for her..." Kairo said winking at Kenzo. Kylo and Buster shaked their heads because of Kairo's pervert thoughts.
"Don't dare to include her on your women's list, Kai!" Kenzo said seriously. "Woah, what's that for?" Kairo was shocked on Kenzo's sudden burst. Kylo and Buster also looked at Kenzo with questioning stares. Kenzo sighed deeply.
"She was my ex-girlfriend's sister back in highschool. Originally, I planned to court her but instead, I had a relationship with her sister." Kenzo said and his three friends creased their forehead. "Her sister had given me an aphrodisiac drug the night of our graduation ball and of course, we did the deed." Kenzo continued. His friends wanted to comment but they didn't because they wanted to hear the rest of the story.
"Since I was also responsible for it, we became a couple. At first, it was smooth sailing relationship but as we go on, it became a bumpy road. We broke up, then, after sometime, they both transferred to a different school and from then on, I had no contact with them." Kenzo said continuously.
"So, what's your plan now?" Kylo asked. "Let's hire her. I will cross the bridge when I get there." Kenzo said. "Just remember, Sapphire is your present and she's expecting that she'll be your future." Kairo said. "I know." Kenzo said and sighed.

"Good morning, sweety!" Yara said while giving her niece small kisses to make her wake up. The child didn't move but Yara saw that she's smiling. She then started tickling the child.
"Mommy, hahaha, stop, stop. I'm awake, I'm awake, hahaha." Dream said while trying to stop her Aunt's hands. Yara stopped and gave another kiss to her niece.
"Come, Mooma is waiting. She cooked your favorite ham and bacon rice." Yara said and Dream hurriedly stood up and went inside the comfort room to clean up.
"Let's go, Mommy!" Dream said. Yara raised her brow. "You're forgetting something." Yara said and Dream immediately stood infront of a picture placed in the wall of her room. "Good morning, Mama. I love you." Dream said that made Yara smiled.
"It's been 10 years, Big Sister. She's growing too fast. I hope I'm doing a great job being her second mom. I miss you so much. Give daddy a big hug from me." Yara said.
Yara's father died when they we're still in elementary. Her sister and Dream's mother, Yvette, died after giving birth to Dream. Since then, she and her mother did their best to take care of Dream. When Dream was starting to understand things, they finally informed her about Yvette. But Dream didn't know who was her father. Only Yara and her mother, Emma, knew who the jerk was.
"Good morning, Mooma!" Dream said and gave a kiss to her grandma. "Good morning too, my baby." Emma said smiling. Because it was Saturday, Dream is not going to school, instead, she will help her grandma at their grocery store.
Every Saturday and Sunday, Dream would help Emma in selling their goods. Yara and Emma have found a beautiful space for their grocery store. It was situated near offices that's why it gained customers from different fields. At first, it was only a general merchandise but because their customers wished for meals, they granted it.
"Behave while you're with Mooma. Our cashier told me that you were very talkative even to strangers." Yara said scolding Dream. "They aren't strangers, Mommy, they are consumers." Dream said while munching her breakfast. "And I'm only assisting them on their needs. They only want to buy lunch but because I told them that our desserts are very delicious, they also bought it." Dream continued. "Just be careful to whom you are talking to. Don't trust everyone, ok?" Yara said and Dream
nodded.
"Are you going back to Abstract Worx?" Emma asked her daughter. "The Engineer and the Interior Designer told me that they will call me if their Head Engineer will allow me to work there as her new personal secretary." Yara said. "But they are all men. You resigned to your work before because of them, what if, it happened again?" Emma asked worriedly. "Abstract Worx is a known Engineering Firm of the country. And I think the men there are well-educated. Don't worry, Mom, you know, I can take care pf myself." Yara said and her mom nodded.
Emma and Dream left the house to go to their store. Yara was done cleaning the house and was about to do their laundry when her phone rang.
"Good morning! Is this Yara Gomez?" Kairo said over the phone. "Yes, Sir, who's this, please?" Yara asked curiously. "I'm Engineer Kairo from Abstract Worx. Are you free today? Can you come here for your orientation?" Kairo asked. When he heard the scream on the other line, he smiled. "Yes, Sir, I'll be right there. Thank you, Sir." Kairo ended the call.
Yara immediately took a bath and changed into a secretary's attire. A skirt and a white blouse. She put a light make up and wore her heels. She tied her black smooth hair and made a bun from it. She looked on the mirror and when she was satisfied on what she saw, she went outside and hailed a cab. She sent a text message to her mother and Emma replied "Congratulations!".
Yara reached Abstract Worx and paid the cab. The Engineering firm was located on the fifth floor of the building. She went in and entered the elevator. As she was standing inside the elevator, everybody that are going inside can't stopped on glancing on her. Her bewitching beauty and voluptuous figure were adored by men and women were jealous of her. When the elevator stopped on the fifth floor, Yara went out leaving the rest, still in dazed. When the elevator closes, some of them scratched their heads because they missed the floor where they should go.
I stood and looked at myself in the mirror. My makeup was light...just enough shimmer around the eyes to make them look larger, more alive, and a soft pink gloss on my lips that made me appear serene, even if my heart was anything but.My hair was pin-straight and thrown over my shoulders, the ends brushing against my hips like silk. I had very little in the way of accessories. Like a thin silver chain and matching earrings... but that was intentional.I wanted the dress to be the center of attention. But no matter what I did, no matter how much I perfected the outer image, the anxiety remained the real star of the evening. It took up space. It whispered, shouted, tugged at the hem of my dress like an impatient child demanding to be acknowledged. My nerves had a way of stealing the spotlight. It always had.I didn’t even hear her enter, but I felt her before I saw her. Two warm hands rested gently on my shoulders, grounding me. I watched in the mirror as my mother placed her chin on
The doorbell chimed gently as I stepped into the shop. The familiar scent of lavender and fabric glue filled the air, a scent that always brought a strange sense of comfort. It was a small, cozy boutique tucked in the heart of town, owned by one of the kindest omegas in the pack. She wasn’t just any tailor...she was the tailor.Every year, for every Mateball, she crafted dresses for half the pack. And every year, she managed to outdo herself. She was a werewolf too. One wouldn't guess it because she's so quiet, loving, humble, and probably the sweetest omega that ever existed.I remembered being younger, too young to care about dresses, and yet always finding myself in her care. While the adults had their so-called “important meetings,” which I now realized were just shouting matches disguised under the veil of secrecy, she’d whisk me away to her shop.I used to think my parents and grandparents were talking about secret alpha missions. In hindsight, she was just trying to shield me
When I looked back up at my mother, a smirk crossed her lips. For a moment I believed she knew what was going on between me and Xander. But as she turned her head to the side, curiosity brightening in her eyes, searching for the puzzle of her daughter standing before her, I realized she didn’t. I simply smiled and nodded.“Thanks, Mom,” I whispered beneath my breath. She returned my grin with one of her own, then dove back into the stack of papers scattered across her desk. I reached out, fingers grazing a stray sheet, ready to help, but my mind was already drifting back to Xander. My thoughts kept wandering back to the first step we were going to take very soon.Yes, the fear was still there. It didn’t vanish the instant I realized who I was or where I came from.No.But that terrifying roar in my head had quieted... transformed from a deafening scream to a faint whisper.A whisper that I could ignore. And I chose to.From here on out, I chose courage.Stepping outside, the world had
“I won’t be coming back to Silvermoon,” I said as we walked through the beautiful pack gardens.Xander, however, didn’t stop or even flinch at my words.“I expected it. Asher can’t be Alpha while living in a different pack. The Alpha family as a whole is very important, and even you have your own duties that you have to attend to here.It would make Asher look weak if you came back to Silver moon. But luckily for us that’s only until the mate ball,” he said.I stopped walking. He turned around to look at me.I wasn’t sure if I was ready to take my place beside Xander. I wasn’t sure if I could handle the watchful eyes of the pack. Their judgment, their expectations. I wasn’t sure if I was strong enough to stand in the spotlight just yet.Xander grabbed my hand, holding it tightly between his.“I was hoping we could come out as destined mates there. It would work. It would make sense,” he said, trying to convince me.I nodded, even though I wasn’t sure if I wanted that. But the smile on
“Are you sure that is all he said? You didn’t miss anything?” Xander asked, his voice laced with extreme worry. Each word carried the weight of something more, something unspoken.I had told him every word the vampire had said to me—except the part where he promised we would see each other again. I
The morning of my eighteenth birthday felt like a new beginning. My senses were sharper.Axel became more present, and my instincts honed.Yet, it all meant nothing in comparison to seeing dawn today. Smelling her. Especially now, since the bond between us had finally and completely snapped in plac
Xander Pov:I dodged Dylan’s low kick and pivoted just in time to avoid the strike. My movements were more precise than usual, every punch and block hitting harder than needed.Dylan scowled but said nothing … yet.He swung at me again, aiming for my ribs, but I stepped forward and cut off his atta
When I closed the door after Xander and I said our goodbyes, the butterflies of what awaited me at dusk started floating about in my stomach. Making a smile form on my face. One I couldn’t help, as the daydreams of what tonight might hold made me happy.Although I knew that was all it could be. Jus
