As the sun began to set, so did her eyes. She held her puppy close as the trees cushioned her safely. They didn’t want their princess to fall, especially from the height she was at. Alaska snuggled into her mommy as gently as she could. She wanted to make sure her fluff covered as much of her as it could for warmth.
As the sun fell behind the horizon Derek’s heart broke. He let her go, took his eyes off her once more and now here he was. The tears began to fall down his cheeks as his knees hit the dirt softly. He should have just died in their hands. He should have let himself be killed then this would have never happened. She would be safe in the arms of a man that can actually keep her safe.

She carefully placed the baskets down as her fingers sorted through the food. There had to be something in here she could feed him. With a sigh he fingers finally fell on a container of mashed potato’s. She quickly pulled it out as well as the BBQ chicken.
