Chapter 19
The cold water began to suffocate her as she tried to fight her way to the surface. She felt a pressure, not only on her back, but that of her legs as well. The night sky not helping her any as she was being flipped this way and that by the harsh waves. Anya had no idea where she was or why she was here. She wished that info would come.
‘Help.’ Her voice was so weak as the last of the air escaped her lungs. She prayed someone would hear her. Out of the dark swam a fish. She began to reach for it hoping it was large enough to help her. The beautiful deep green scales flashing in the light as his hands reached out for her. This startled her. No fish had hands.

Her eyes gently fluttered open as a chill ran through her. She found herself laying on the cool forest floor. Slowly sitting up she looked around before the evenings events played over in her mind. She carefully placed the baskets down as her fingers sorted through the food. There had to be something in here she could feed him. With a sigh he fingers finally fell on a container of mashed potato’s. She quickly pulled it out as well as the BBQ chicken. There trek was slow and painful. Anya did the best she could hiding her pain from Derek’s watchful eyes. She stopped her self only when the sun was high in the sky to eat and check his bandages.
