Chapter Eight

MIGS couldn't resist hugging Armina the moment she opened the door for him. Immediately, he embraced her. It was evident that she was surprised and unable to move. But he didn't let go. He missed doing this, and it felt good.

"What's that for?" Armina asked as she pulled away.

He shrugged. Paano ba niya sasagutin iyon? Should he tell her that he missed her? Na totoo naman. While he was in Bicol, he had been thinking a lot of her, which was unfair to Lily. He knew he was doing something wrong. Nagkakasala na siya.

"I haven't had lunch yet," he said and headed inside. "Gutom na gutom na ako. Puwede mo ba akong pakainin?"

Armina nodded, looking a bit confused. She went straight to the kitchen.

Migs placed his knapsack bag on the couch at sinundan sa kusina si Armina.

"Do you want me to help you there?" he offered.

Armina had her back to him as she busied herself at the sink. Pagpihit nito paharap sa kanya, tila nagulat ito.
