Chapter 15

Jenna's POV 

I wanted to take off the towel and straddle his waist. I'm still in a state of disbelief. When did I become so lucky to have him as my husband? 

"I like what I see." He smirked and I blinked back to my senses. 

I rushed to open my bag to get my clothes. However, Jace quickly came to me and held my wrist.

"What's the hurry, my queen?" 

"Jace," I eyed him. 

"Let me warm my tired eyes first." He said huskily as his hungry gaze moved all over my body. 

I moaned when he pulled the towel apart and cupped my breast. I haven't fed Jared since the flight time, thus my breasts were heavy and aching. 

"Jace, no. They're aching." I hissed as he gripped my nipples. 

"I can help you with your aching nipples, darling." A sexy spark shot up my thighs as Jace picked me in his arms. 

He took me to bed and kissed me. He always does this— Kiss me before he goes down my neck. I held back a breath when his hot breath grazed my achy nipples. 

Please, just do it. I thought as I felt him lingering his face there and not doing it. 

"Jace!" I whisper-yelled. "Do it or I am—" 

KNOCK KNOCK. 

Two loud knocks pounded on our door before we heard an innocently sweet feminine voice, "Alpha King Jace?" 

My face hardened in alarm. Jace moved away as he said he'll see who it is on the door. Meanwhile I quickly wrapped myself back in the towel and stood up. I would've rushed back inside the bathroom if it was a man. But the feminine voice made me stay as I patiently waited to see who it was. 

"I hope I'm not intruding." I tried to look over Jace's face. 

A gorgeous woman stood at the doorway with a sweet smile. She appeared almost harmless in her soft dress and innocent expression.

"Liza, I was thinking about you. Come inside." Jace stepped aside and let her in. 

I was still quiet, watching her closely. There was something about her that unsettled me. 

"Jenna, I wanted you to meet her. This is Liza, my cousin. And Liza, this is Jenna, my mate and Luna Queen."

"It's so nice to finally meet you, Luna Queen. You're beautiful!" Liza came to take my hand while I leaned into Jace. 

"Likewise." I felt her squeeze my arm a little tightly as I smiled. 

"I've heard so much about you." She blinked dramatically to look cute. 

"I hope it was all good." 

"Only good things." She said brightly as I felt a feeling of uneasiness crawl into my belly. 

"Jenna, she's my cousin. We grew up together. Liza's mother was my aunt. Unfortunately she died during an accident while traveling along with her husband. Now Liza lives with us." Jace unknowingly started caressing my waist and Liza's eyes calculatively stared at it. 

"Sad to hear that. I hope you don't feel lonely living here, Liza." 

"No. Jace's parents raised me like their daughter and then he was also there. He probably told you about me, didn't he?" Her eyes conspiringly lowered as Jace's hand became rigid on my waist. 

"He did." I gave her a tight smile. "He told me about an orphan cousin once." 

"Then I hope you won't feel uncomfortable around me." 

"Why would I?" 

Liza gave a tiny laugh as she replied, "Because of our history." 

My gaze sharpened. What kind of history? Jace only once told me that he has many siblings and cousins from his mother's side. But he's got a small family from his father's side. That is when he also told me about Liza. 

He had been very hesitant while talking about her. I didn't press him for more details. But as I was looking at Liza now, the wheels in my head started turning aggressively. Is this what I think this is? 

Before any of us could respond, Jace's phone started ringing. He fished it out and his eyebrows went high. 

"Oh, it's an important call Excuse me, Jenna. I need to take this." 

"Go ahead." I grinned as he pasted a kiss on my cheek. 

He stepped into the adjoining room and closed the door behind him. I was occupied by how my husband looked even while walking. Every movement he makes is a blend of sexiness and grace. 

I was smiling to myself when I felt strong hateful fingers biting into my bare arm and yanking my attention. 

"What the hell!" I growled because Liza was scowling at me. 

Suddenly I was amazed because the innocent face was gone. The sweetness had drained from her face as soon as Jace disappeared. 

"You really are pretty. I can see why he married you. You've got a nice pair of tits and your waist is thin. Oh, I can see some bruises on your inner thighs too. He's very wild, isn't he?" 

I remained silent as Gianna was howling in my mind. She wanted me to rip her face off. 

"He is." 

"You must be feeling very blessed to have him."

"I do. Thanks." 

"Don't misunderstand me. I'm not complimenting you." She growled. 

"You aren't?" My eyes narrowed. "Then what are you doing?" 

Liza took a step closer and Gianna became highly alert. She was ready to push through me and take control. She does that sometimes... At times when she feels highly enraged and challenged. 

"I'm trying to understand how you managed to steal my man." Liza folded her hands. 

"Your man?" I scoffed. 

"Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about. I'm Liza... His mistress. He was mine long before you came here, bítch." Her voice had lost all traces of sweetness.

I was just staring at her. She was like that wild flower with a beautiful exterior— one that lures a person to go near it and touch it. But when they do, they are either eaten alive by the flower or poisoned. 

My heart was shrieking in so many emotions. This lovely looking yet poisonous snake was my husband's mistress. Although he told me there's no one beside me now, I can't stop feeling frustrated. 

Jace had promised me to be loyal and never keep secrets. And he never told me about his mistress— or the fact that the poor cousin he told me about was his mistress. 

"Too bad for you, cousin... Oops, mistress. Or should I say, cousin-mistress. Because he is married now and he chose me as his mate." I smirked wickedly.

Liza's fingers curled slowly. She looked like she wanted to jump at me but then she chuckled, "Don't mistake his promises for eternity, bítch. Jace is a heartbreaker. His promises are temporary. They don't mean anything."

She started circling me and though I was in a towel in front of her, who was nicely dressed, I still felt more in power. 

"When we were dating—"

"He was using you, you mean?" 

"— he made those promises to me as well... That I will be his Luna Queen. That there won't be anyone beside me. But look what he did? He brought a broken bítch like you. So don't get your hopes high." She stopped to scowl. "Jace can never belong to one woman." 

"In fact, he didn't belong to his destined mate. You know, he didn't grieve much when she died. He looked rather relieved. And a week after her death, he started seeing me. It started with secret kisses, then groping.... Then he took me to bed."

I didn't respond. I just smiled, which grated on her nerves. 

"Why are you smiling like an idiot? Have you already gone mad? You should. Because you married a player."

"Done spewing shit?" I said lazily and her jaw tightened. 

"You think I'm bluffing around, whóre?" She took a threatening step towards me. 

"Don't give me your nicknames. They suit you more."

"You—" 

"Next time you come to my room, don't forget your place, used whóre." I grabbed her arm and twisted it. 

"Aah."
