We walked in together, and I sat on the bed quietly. Suddenly, the terrifying scene replayed in my head, and I started trembling from fear. Eric noticed immediately and rushed over, pulling me into a warm embrace that felt like forever. I didn’t want to let go. As he held me, I felt something—something familiar, something deep. A strange spark lit up inside me. It felt like… maybe we’ve been this close before…, I've had this memory with him, I've had the feeling before and I so much love it that I don't want to let go.

We stayed like that for a few minutes, wrapped in silence. Then he gently pulled back, his hands resting firmly on my shoulders.

"I'm here, don't be scared. I won’t let anything happen to you. I’ll always protect you," he said, his voice soft but firm.

I looked up at him, searching his face—and there it was, sincerity shining clearly in his eyes.

But… why? Why would he want to protect me? He’s just my boss. Even Adrian, my own husband, never stood up for me like t

I stepped out of the car, completely stunned by the sheer size and beauty of the house. My eyes scanned the tall gates, the perfectly trimmed flowers, and the shining glass windows that reflected the fading sunlight like something out of a dream.Mr. Eric, unfazed, walked casually toward the entrance. I quickly followed behind him, still in awe, my heels clicking softly against the paved driveway. Everything about the place screamed wealth and elegance, and I couldn't help but wonder… Is this really for me?.He stopped at the front door and turned to me with a small smile. "Place your finger here," he said, pointing at the scanner just beside the lock.I hesitated for a moment before doing as he instructed. The scanner beeped softly, and with a smooth click, the massive door swung open on its own."This house is now yours," he said calmly. "Only you can access it—your fingerprint is the key. No one else gets in without your permission."I stood there, speechless, overwhelmed by the ge

I sat quietly, taking a slow sip from the wine glass when Peter burst through the door, breathless. “What’s it? Are you being chased?” I asked sharply, narrowing my eyes at him. His face was pale, and sweat clung to his forehead. Whatever it was, it wasn’t good."I... I... I saw Miss Linda at the hideout," Peter stammered, still trying to catch his breath. "The one you told me to watch, to see if Mrs. Dora would show up? It wasn’t her. It was Miss Linda instead." My grip on the wine glass tightened as I slowly stood up, eyes fixed on him. Linda?" I repeated coldly. "Are you sure about what you saw?""Yes, I can't possibly mistake her. She's the one I saw," Peter said firmly. "I saw her with a strange man.""A strange man?" I repeated, my voice lowering with suspicion. "Yes sir," he nodded. "They were both talking, but I couldn’t hear what they were saying... I tried to move closer, but the man kept looking around like he suspected something." I paced slowly, proces

I laid down on the bed beside her, staring at her peaceful face. She’s finally asleep—no more nightmares, just calm breathing and quiet rest."She looks so beautiful while sleeping," I thought to myself. A true sleeping beauty. After staring at her face for a long while, letting the quiet comfort of the moment sink in, I slowly drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep beside her.I woke up the next morning. "Where am I?" I mumbled, slowly opening my eyes — then everything came rushing back. I turned to the side, "Elena?" I called softly. I looked around and spotted her sitting on the couch, her eyes already fixed on me. I felt a bit embarrassed but quickly shrugged it off. "Did you sleep well?" I asked, meeting her gaze. "Yes, I slept well," she replied with a gentle smile. That's when I noticed — she was already dressed, ready for work.I stepped out of the room into the sitting room, unsure of what to do next. Should I just go home and change? I thought. Or mayb

I grabbed my car key and rushed out of my office the moment I heard Mr. Rogers' name mentioned by my investigator. My heart was already racing as I hurried to the parking lot, slid into the driver’s seat, and started the engine. Without wasting another second, I drove off, my mind spinning with questions.I pulled out my nose mask and slipped it on, trying to keep a low profile. As I stepped inside the building, I walked straight past the secretary, ignoring her questions. My focus was only on one thing — getting to Mr. Rogers’ office without raising suspicion.I opened the office door and stepped inside without hesitation."Why would you walk in without being invited?" he barked, raising his voice.I didn’t flinch. Instead, I slowly removed my nose mask and locked eyes with him."Adrian!" he gasped, his voice trembling with fear as he took a step back."You’re smart," I said calmly, walking further in. "You’re the only one who’s recognized me so far."His eyes darted toward the d

After finishing our meal and sipping the last of our juice, Elena stood up gracefully. I rose to my feet right behind her. She walked over to the edge, then paused, taking in the breathtaking view of the Empire State Building. A soft smile played on her lips as the city lights reflected in her eyes. She looked genuinely happy, completely lost in the moment. After a few minutes of enjoying the view—though my eyes had never really left her—we finally turned to leave. She glanced at me with that same bright smile, and I couldn’t help but smile back. We made our way to the amusement park, the breeze brushing against us as the city buzzed with life around us.I drove her to the amusement park, and we made our way inside, blending into the cheerful crowd. We played a lot—ring toss, water gun races, even the strength tester. I hadn’t seen Elena smile so brightly and freely in a long time, and seeing that made everything worth it. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the lights around us
