Chapter 2: I Am Not Happy With Logan

Eleven in the morning, Brianna and Logan went out of their house.

"I just want to remind you, Brianna. Don't make any trouble!"

"I won't," she answered before entering the car.

Logan raised an eyebrow because he noticed the sudden change in her attitude, movements, and everything.  He noticed it yesterday.  He ignored it, but now, he couldn't help but wonder.

Logan tilted his head before entering the car.

It was almost an hour before they arrived at the Gray Mansion.

"Brianna, you are here!"  An older woman, Logan's grandmother, approached Brianna as soon as she entered the Mansion.

"When did I say no to your wishes, Grandma Caroline?"  Brianna asked the older woman, giving her a sweet smile.

"I am so happy to see you, Brianna. Come with me. I know Lukas will be happy to see you!"  Caroline invited her.

Logan just stood behind, watching Brianna while his Grandmother was on her side.

He knew that Brianna was close to his family, so he was slightly nervous about what would happen when they announced the divorce agreement.

"Where are Mom and Dad?"  Brianna asked her while walking towards the room of Lukas, Logan's Grandfather.

"Elize is in the kitchen, cooking for our lunch, while Antonio is in the garden," Caroline answered.

They stopped walking when they arrived at Lukas's room.

"Lukas, Brianna is here!"  Caroline informed her husband when they entered the room.

Lukas looked at the door.  When he saw Brianna, he sat on the bed and smiled.

They approached Lukas.

Brianna kissed his cheek while Logan was watching them.

"How are you, Grandpa?"  Brianna asked.

"I am okay, Dear. Even though I'm old, I can still knock down a horse!"  He answered.

Brianna smiled, "You really are something, Grandpa. You don't really change!"  she replied.

"If Caroline hadn't lied about me being sick, you wouldn't have come, Brianna," Lukas said with a sulk in his voice.

"It's not like that, Grandpa. Logan was very busy in the company, so we have no time to visit you," she reasoned.

Lukas looked at Logan, who was behind Brianna.

"Is that so, Logan?"  He asked.

"Yes, Grandpa!"  Logan immediately answered.

"But if you're not doing anything at home, come here so you're not alone, Brianna. You know you are like a daughter to me, right?"  Lukas said gently to Brianna.

"Don't worry, Grandpa, if I'm not doing anything, I'll visit you here," Brianna assured him.

Lukas frowned because of what Brianna said.  He knew that there was no problem with what she said, but he felt that something was wrong.

"Is there any problem, Brianna?"  Lukas suddenly asked her.

Brianna looked at Logan.  They looked at each other before Brianna answered, "We'll tell you something later, Grandpa. But for now, let's talk first," she replied.

Lukas looked at Logan, "Go to your Daddy. He's going to tell you something, Logan," he ordered.

Logan nodded, "Yes, Grandpa," he answered.

Brianna and Caroline were left inside the room while Logan went to his father.

"Do you have something to say, Dad?"  Logan asked his father.

Antonio put down his tablet and looked at Logan, "Sit in front of me, Logan," he ordered.

Logan sat in front of his father, "What is it?"

"You know I have eyes on the company, Logan," he informed him.

"And someone gave the news that you're getting out of the company several times a day."

"It would be okay if what you are doing is because of meetings or visiting the other branches, but according to what I have heard, you are going to places without being informed."

"I have something important to go to personally, Dad," Logan replied.

Logan and Antonio looked at each other, "Important things?"  he asked.

"Yes, Dad. But even so, I'm not neglecting the company," he defended.

"Before I left, I made sure there was no problem with everything, Dad," he added.

"That's good, Logan. You know you are the only one we expect to run the company. If only your Brother were here, we wouldn't be worried about the company," Antonio said.

Logan closed his eyes because of what Antonio said.

Logan knew they had more confidence in his Brother than him.  But because his brother lives in another country and works in a company they don't know, he was assigned to manage their company.

"Don't ever do something that will destroy and bring down the company, Logan. Your grandfather and I worked hard to grow the company," Antonio said with a threat to his son.

"I won't do that, Dad," he assured.

"How I wish, Logan. So, tell me about the development of the company."

Logan and Antonio talked about the development of their company.  When a maid called them for lunch, they stood and walked towards the dining area.

When Logan and Antonio entered, they saw that Brianna was already there, together with his grandmother and grandfather.  His mother was busy preparing the food with some maids.

When they finished preparing their lunch, they started eating, and they quit after half an hour.

"What were you telling me earlier that you had something important to say, Brianna?"  Lukas suddenly asked Brianna.

Brianna looked at Logan.  When Logan nodded, Brianna faced Lukas to say what she needed to tell them.

"I decided to divorce Logan, Grandpa!"  Brianna said directly.  Her face was blank while looking at Lukas.

Lukas stood up because of what Brianna said.  He looked fiercely at Logan, "What did you do, Logan?!"  Lukas asked him.

Logan gulped when he saw his Grandfather's face.  It was evident that he was shocked, and he knew that he would blame him.

"He didn't do anything, Grandpa," Brianna answered.

Lukas looked at Brianna, "Tell me the truth, Brianna. Did Logan do something you didn't like? Did he cheat on you? Did he go out with or go to other women?"  he asked one question to another.

Brianna tilted her head, "He didn't do all that things, Grandpa," she replied.

Lukas frowned, "Then why do you want to break up with Logan?"  he asked in surprise.

Brianna took a deep breath before she answered, "In more than two years of our marriage, I can say that I was happy with him, Grandpa," she started talking.

"But in the past months, I felt something was wrong with me. I know that I love Logan, but I am not happy anymore," she added.

"Is it because you don't have children, Brianna?" Lukas asked her.

"Why, Logan? Are you impotent?" Antonio, his father, spoke and asked.

"No, Dad!" He defended himself.

"Then why? Why did Brianna decide to divorce you!?"

"As I said, I am not happy with Logan anymore, Dad. So, I decided to divorce him," Brianna repeated.

They all fell silent because of Brianna's words.  Logan calmed himself.  He felt the strong tension inside the dining area despite being quiet.

"Logan is already preparing all the documents needed. And after a month, we will officially separate," Brianna continued talking.

Lukas sat down.  Bowed down and seemed to weaken after hearing Brianna's announcement to all of them.

"But don't worry, Grandpa. I will always visit you here," Brianna ensured.

Lukas looked at Brianna, "You say that, Brianna!"

"You know me, Grandpa. I always make my promises. And as you said, I'm like your daughter, aren't I?"  Brianna replied.

"So expect that I will always visit you here," she replied with a smile.

Lukas took a deep breath, "If that's what you want, there's nothing I can do," he surrendered.

Logan stood up, "We have to leave. I have something important to go to, Grandpa," Lukas said goodbye.

"If you need anything or have a problem, Brianna, don't hesitate to call me, okay?"

"I will, Grandpa," Brianna replied.

When Logan and Brianna get back to their house, Logan immediately said he has something important to go to.

"Let's go out for dinner," Brianna told him.

Logan frowned, "Why?"  He asked.

"For the last time, let's have some time together," she answered.

"I can't guarantee you that!"

"Okay, forget about the divorce!"

Brianna's words gritted Logan's teeth, but he could do nothing.

"Okay. What is the time?"

"Six at the Sunshine Resto," she replied.

"Okay!"

"And give me your card. I need to buy things for myself. You know I won't be able to take anything with me when we divorce, so I will buy what I need," she added.

Logan tilted his head.  "I wish I saw this kind of you from the start, Brianna," Logan stated, pulling his card from his wallet.

Logan gave his card to Brianna.

"I know I made a big mistake when I asked you to marry me. Because of the similarities of your face and body to Gabriella, because of the kindness you showed, I overlooked the game you planned," he added.

Brianna took his card and asked, "Do you have more to say? If there is nothing, I will prepare to buy things I need."

"Nothing. I'll just order Carson to go back here to pick you up and accompany you to the mall," Logan answered.

"Okay. Don't forget it later. Six in the evening at Sunshine Resto," Brianna reminded Logan before she entered the house.
