Chapter 3: How Could You!

"Mrs Grey, are you sure this is not enough?" Carson asked Brianna. He was holding six kinds of bags containing things that she bought.

"I just bought some clothes, Carson. I need more," Brianna answered.

Carson tilted his head. In his estimation, she already spent thousands of dollars, and she's not done yet?

"Let's go to the jewelry shop," Brianna told him, which made his eyes widen.

The two of them walked to the most famous jewelry shop in the shopping mall.  When they entered the shop, Brianna started to buy some jewelry.

Everything that Brianna showed the saleslady she bought with Logan's card.  Carson could do nothing but watch Brianna and drool.

He knew Brianna was buying things with Logan's card on purpose.  He can't stop it because he's not in the place to care about what she's doing.  As long as the important thing was that he could do what Logan ordered, to accompany her.

They walked around the shopping mall for almost two hours before Brianna decided to go home.  While Carson held what Brianna bought with Logan's card.

"Get some rest, Carson. I know you're tired. Later, we're going to the beauty salon," Brianna ordered and told him before she walked towards her room.

Carson took a deep breath before sitting on the sofa.  He took out his smartphone and called Logan.

"Mrs. Gray and I have returned home, sir," he reported.

"Why did Brianna spend more than two hundred thousand dollars, Carson?"  Logan asked him immediately.

Carson was speechless.

"Why didn't she just buy the whole Shopping Mall if that was her plan? What did you do, Carson?"  he asked again.

"Your order for me was to accompany Mrs. Grey, sir," he reasoned out.

Logan clutched his forehead because of what Carson told him.  He shouldn't be scolding Carson.  He knew he was in no place to care about Brianna, but more than two hundred thousand dollars?

Logan sighed before he said, "Do you have anything else to do?"  He asked him.

"Mrs. Gray told me that we will go to the beauty salon, Sir," he answered.

Logan raised an eyebrow at what Carson said.  In their more than two years together, Brianna had only gone to a Beauty Salon or had her hair done once when they were married.  Brianna doesn't go to the Beauty Salon because she does her own grooming if the two of them go somewhere.

"Okay. If you don't have anything else to do after you go to the Beauty Salon, come here to the office. You'll have a lot to take care of," Logan said.

Carson closed his eyes because of what Logan said to him.  Everything that Logan can't do, Carson does.  He is the only one Logan trusts to handle important documents when it comes to the company.

More than two hours had passed when Brianna came down from her bedroom.  She approached Carson who was busy watching basketball on Television.

"We have to go, Carson," Brianna interrupted him.

Carson quickly stood up from his seat and faced Brianna.

When they arrived at a Beauty Salon, the beauticians immediately attended to Brianna.  She sat in front of the mirror and closed her eyes.

While the beautician was fixing Brianna, two women suddenly arrived.  They looked at Brianna with smiles.

"It's surprising that Mr. Logan Grey's wife is here," one of two women spoke.

"How can Mrs. Gray not come here if there is a rumor that Mr. Gray has another woman," the other woman replied.

"Is that true?"

"My husband works at Mr. Grey's company, and there are rumors that Mr. Gray has another woman. Maybe Mrs. Gray is here to make herself beautiful for her husband,"

"Awww, that's sad. Anyway, I can't blame Mr. Gray if he finds another woman. I heard that Mr. Gray met his wife in a bar, and she blackmailed him so they got married!"

Brianna raised her eyebrows because of what she heard.  She looked at the two women talking.  She saw them both looking at her smiling.

"But even so, Mrs. Gray is still lucky, because she got to live like a queen. She can buy everything she wants, and maybe she gets a lot of money from Mr. Grey," the woman  continued.

"Yeah. It's a shame if she doesn't use the opportunities to use Mr. Grey's money. If you are a gold digger, you will do everything to get everything you want," the other woman spoke.

Brianna was silent because of what she was hearing.  She doesn't want to make trouble because of two women who knew nothing in life but to talk about other people's lives.

Brianna stayed at the beauty salon for more than two hours.  Carson was stunned when he saw Brianna was dressed elegantly in a long sleeve peplum top with a high low asymmetrical, irregular hem casual tops blouse skirt tailored to her almost perfect figure.

'I don't understand why Mr.  Gray wants to divorce his wife!  Every part of her is stunning!'' he thought to himself, while looking at her.

"Carson," Brianna called him.

"Let's go to the Sunshine Resto," she ordered, to which Carson answered her with a nod.

When Brianna entered the Sunshine Resto, she went straight to the private table she reserved to wait for Logan.  While Carson stayed inside the car and gave an update to Logan.

There are still twenty minutes before six in the evening.

"Where here at Sunshine Resto, Sir" Carson informed Logan.

Logan quickly turned off his smartphone when he heard what Carson told him.

Logan has a serious face while driving to Sunshine Resto.  His teeth were grinding and his grip on the steering wheel of the car was tight.  He wanted to see Brianna now because of the news that reached him.

When Logan arrived at the Sunshine Resto, he immediately looked for Brianna.  When he saw Brianna sitting in front of a table, he quickly walked to approach her.

Logan pulled Brianna's arm out of the Sunshine Resto.  Logan didn't care about people looking at the two of them.  He didn't hear any objection from Brianna until they got out of the Resto.

"What's wrong with you, Logan?"  Brianna asked when they got out of the restaurant.

Logan couldn't help himself.  He slapped Brianna hard on her cheek.

Brianna's eyes widened because of what Logan did to her.

"How could you! Why did you do that to Gabriella!"  Logan yelled, demanding an explanation from Brianna.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Logan," Brianna answered, her voice was weak but there was an authority to defend herself.

"Stop lying, Brianna! The nurse you ordered to kill Gabriella confessed!"

Brianna showed no emotion.  She looked at Carson, who was in the back of Logan, "Carson, get the car," she ordered.

"Why? Are you going to escape?" Logan asked her.

"No. We are going to the hospital!" Brianna replied.
