Ch. 34 : Shattered Peace
Arden came to visit me the next day and happily told me what had happened between him and Morina. I was filled with joy to see my brother so happy as he talked about her and took the opportunity to tease him for it too.
Apparently, they admitted that they felt drawn to each other and, when my brother explained what I had learned in the dream, they decided to plan moments that they could spend together. They wanted to get to know each other more and see if the pull they felt for one another would grow. Much more was talked about, I’m sure, but my brother refused to say anything more, warning me that, as his sister, I was not privy to certain things in his romantic life. That stopped me from asking and I shuddered at the thought of hearing anything physically happening between them.
After this we spent the day together and even decided to go spar a few time

The next few days went by somewhat calm, with my pathetic meals being dropped at my feet and the nights growing colder. The Duchess didn’t make an appearance and the physician only returned once to check on me.
