I could not see anything . It's like having your sight taken away from you but this time the inner sight . Ever since I tried to save Adolph with my powers, I could not see the future anymore . I was weak . The weakness stuck to me like a second skin .

I couldn't sleep and I couldn't get anything done .

School will have to wait too .

I crept from my hiding place in the closet as the morning light made me weaker .

I needed to see someone . The only person who could help me was Niko . Nyla should be in school by now so she wouldn't know .

I got into the bathroom and soaked myself in the tub filled with water and the incense oils my mum used to use to meditate .

I stayed there for about an hour before I got out . I brushed my hair and dressed quickly .

Surprising, my father was not awake .

I crept out silently and drove to Niko's house .

The traffic was light so it didn't take too much time for me to get there .

I parked across the road and knocked on the door .

No one answered .
