Ben stood in front of the mirror in her room and checked herself out, she had lost some weight and she wasn't really satisfied with who was staring back at her in the mirror but there was nothing to be done about that.
She heard a knock at the door and walked to the living room to attend to whoever was knocking, she got there and shouted. "Who's at the door please?" If it were before she'd have opened the door slightly to check who was knocking but ever since Daniel became a constant pest in her life, she's been more careful.
"Open up Ben." The person said and she immediately recognized the voice, the one she was avoiding. She turned back and wanted to ignore him but he already heard her voice.
"Daniel, you can't come in here." She said valiantly. "I'm busy right now and I don't need disturbances." She told him with all gladness that she wasn't careless not to have locked her door.
"Open up Ben." He begged
Ben and Roshan were seeing a movie on Netflix when her phone suddenly beeped. She picked it up and didn't utter a word till the call ended, Roshan noticed the scowl on her face when she dropped the phone on the sofa."Hey, what's wrong?" He asked her."I'm good Rosh." She smiled at him. "It was a call from my dad, he was actually scolding me." She said."Why?""I ignored them for a while." She told him."I've apologized to my mom mom though, she took it personal too."You shouldn't have done that." He said gently and drew her closer to himself. "They're your parents and it's a right, it's a must to check on them everyday.""I know Roshan." She smiled, "I was just taking my time." She said sadly, not happy her father was mad at her but was relieved her parents were able to scold her. "I've apologized to them." She told him."Yes, you should.""R
The days rolled in fast, Sunday finally came. Ben had slept over at Roshan's place the previous day, after a lot of pleading from Aisha she decided to spend the night there."Will you go to church now?" Aisha yawned heavily as she awoke, they had spent the night chatting and discussing different things, she brought up different topic for discussion."I'm late already." She sat up and wiped her face. "We slept late last night." She looked up to check the time and it was past seven already."I'm sorry for keeping you up awake till late night." Aisha blinked her puppy eyes and played with her fingers."I could have slept early but I chose to listen to your gist." She got out of bed. "I need to brush but I didn't come over with a toothbrush, you know I didn't plan to sleep over.""Roshan has over a thousand toothbrushes in the house, just check the bathroom." Aisha directed Ben to the
It was evening already, the dinning table was decorated with delicacies of different kinds prepared by both Ben and Aisha.Ben was prepared to leave when Daniel arrived, Aisha got a call from Roshan's parents earlier and she had to rush home to attend to them.He was surprised to see Ben at Roshan's place, he knew they were lovers though but he never thought of it to be that intimate."What are you doing here Ben?" He whispered."I don't understand you." She was confused and was about to talk when Roshan stepped out of the room. He wore a dark suit that blended with his skin color. "Hey." He beamed with smiles when he saw Daniel. "Hope it wasn't stressful locating the address?" He asked him."No, it was easy." He smiled.Ben stared at him disgustingly and wished there was a way she could stop the meeting from going on. "I'll leave now Roshan." Ben said to him."W
"Aisha, have you spoken to her?" Roshan asked, his countenance was gloomy and from how he sounded one could easily detect he was unhappy."Yes." Aisha replied. "She picked your call while you're in the meeting with Daniel." She told him. "I guess the call was from Parvina, she didn't really give the full details I just tried to figure out who called you from how she tabled the issue.""I've warned Parvina to stop calling me at nights." He groaned. "I've told her." He looked worried. "But she wouldn't listen to me.""Rosh, are you by chance seeing Parvina?" Aisha asked, she sat down to listen to what he had to say."W-h-a-t?" He stuttered and stared past her immediately she looked at him."Roshan!" She yelled angrily. "You're cheating on Ben, why would you even think of doing that?" She was mad at him. "I'm disappointed." She looked away."Calm down and listen to me Aisha, I'm
Relationships are meant to be built on a solid and truthful foundation, that was the ideology almost everyone including Ben believed in. A relationship that has lies included in it becomes flexible and could be cut off anytime. She sat in front of Roshan, both not saying a word to each other. The only reason she agreed to meet him at the restaurant was because she respected Aisha a lot and didn't want to refuse her pleas, she had concluded not to talk to Roshan anymore - maybe that was a childish decision but she meant it with every fibre of her being."If this is how you're going to stare at me all night long then I guess I have to leave." She picked up her mini purse and made to leave."Don't please." He stopped her. "Benedicta." He called softly."What do you have to say?" Her tone was rather too harsh but she didn't care if he was hurting, he hurt her too."Calm down and listen to me." He
Sometimes, sorry is all we need to say to make everything work out again.Harboring pride in a relationship leads to its destruction. It doesn't matters who says sorry first, but saying sorry to one another shows you truly value what you have going.Ben walked into Roshan's office with some files in her hand. "You requested for this." She dropped them on the desk avoiding eye contact with him, she waited for his response before leaving.Roshan said nothing, he took the files and glanced through. After he was done, he nodded. She got the sign language and left the office at once. She got to her office and sank on the chair, was that how they were really going to be? Was she really over him? She thought. She missed him terribly but he didn't show any remorse towards what he did and she didn't like that fact, maybe she should have a created a room for better explanation, she doubted him, she didn't trust
It was weekend again, Ben decided to laze around the house since there was nothing very important to do, it's been a while she spoke with Annie and her thoughts crossed her mind. She stood up and went inside to change into something more decent before leaving for Annie's apartment.Annie was arranging her house when Ben stormed in, "Hey." She smiled when she sighted Ben."Baby girl." She dropped on the sofa and crossed her legs. "How're you doing?" She asked."Very well." She responded. "Been a while I saw you around, where have you been?""I've been around Annie but was occupied with a lot of other things." She said."Alright, I wanted to tell you that I got a new job." She broke the good news to Ben."Wow! Where?" She was excited."One of the companies around, I got a catering job. Like I'll be in charge of the food that will be prepared in the cafeteria. Mo
"This gown doesn't suit me anymore." Was her first compliant. "Oh my God! This is too short." She groaned as she took the dress off her body. "Maybe, I should just tell him I can't come anymore." She frowned her face as she mumbled some incoherent words, then she suddenly remembered she had an abaya she's never worn."Perfect!" She snapped and brought the dress out, she put it on and just like the first time, it fitted her perfectly. She smiled as she looked at the mirror, she went for a matching sandals, applied some make up on her face and looked at the mirror one more time before slinging her bag over her shoulders and walking out of the room. She got out of the house and stood by the gate still checking her phone for unread messages, a cab passed by luckily. She stopped the cab and hopped in hastily. After about few minutes of riding the cab halted at POM estate, precisely at Roshan's house. He had invited her over few day
